We had an agreement to rent this vacation rental and forms had been filled out and payment pending. Suddenly, the owner (Rob) said he had rented to someone else. We had turned down other properties to rent this home and an agreement had been made. He snuck in another renter without telling us and left us high and dry. We will not work with him again, since he is unreliable and doesn't honor agreements made. read full review »

I have an account with them and they never fulfilled it. It was in October of 2010 when I also gave them an additional two year membership due and they took it knowing that they were not going to keep their end of our contact. I paid a lot of money for this membership to travel on cruises and have timeshares to be availed to me and now the phone numbers that I have for them are all disconnected. I do not know when they closed down or if they are operating under a new name. I do plan to report this to the Better Business Bureau. The AAA guide as well as Santa Monica Offical Visitors map the front desk here gives you says that free continental breakfast is included. In fact they do not even have a restaurant or a facility to serve breakfast. When I asked the front desk, they say that the official visitors map is in error. I have checked the last three years AAA guide. They all say free breakfast in them. This is clearly a misleading claim and the hotel should compensate us for this. We booked way in advance for a short break; our first in 2 years. My credit card was immediately debitted for the full amount of the stay. We arrived yesterday only to find that the hotel is a total mess; aircons don't work, pool is green and cordoned off, room lights don't work - the place is literally almost falling down. I made an online booking with Wonderland hotels on 24 May 2010. I cancelled the reservation the following day on 25 May 2010 and was waiting for my refund. They confirmed my cancellation and refund immediately and said they would refund within 7 days. When I contacted them about a month later they said that they had some difficulties with their system but would refund soon. The Margate Hotel emailed a quote and denied the pricing on the quote. How foolish is that to deny electronic confirmation especially by the manager himself. The manager Lawrence Howman admitted that his staff made an error and defended his staff more than fix the error made on my booking. His pitch to me was that he was not ready to argue, but was already in the argumentative mood when he called me, he further made the conversation about what kind of person he is? Real Cool!. What happended to professional management, he certainly needs to be re-schooled in hospitality. If the manager is a reflection of the hotel, can you imagine the service? read full review »

Booking.com violates everyday the right of answer concerning guests reviews on Hotels. This means that comments can be made to the hotel, no matter what they say, that they won't be removed and answering will not be possible. Also fraud is possible, because hotel owners can make reservations on similar hotels just to make bad reviews and improve their own competitive conditions. Booking.com doesn't care about the hotels that they sell, no matter how stupid and unfair comments are. Maybe hoteliers would do better business in investing in Adwords Google campaigns directly instead of giving a commission to Booking.com read full review »

WE went to what we thought was an update from RCI on their points system. It turned out to be a hard sell for RCI points but by a time share Club Trinidad - the salesman was really good and told us that we could make thousands by selling the RCI points once we got them, and even introduced a ''points broker'' to us who said he'd buy all of our points. If you are in Mexico and reading this, do not believe anything that you hear in the timeshare presentsation. We paid $5, 000 for a taste of Paradise. we were told that we could get any unit, any time just by paying the maintenance fee. I went to this hotel from a long flight from the states. We arrived at the hotel to be notified that our itineray was incorrect. This error would cost us additional monies. In lieu of this error, we paid for a package deal well over this amount, and yet we were treated like crap b/c of this error. I have been flying in/out of Kuwait International Airport for the past 4 years every month. I have noticed a major cheating/scam or whatever you can call. Well, this is what happens. The moment you get inside the airport & head towards the airline counter, there is an x-ray check. You might be using a trolley available outside the airport. Once you cross this x-ray security, the porters take away your trolley and then you have to pay for another trolley. today and last week the check-in in Bangkok was a disaster: baggage drop queue for 40 minutes waiting. But it is not the capacity of the airport: Air Asia Thailand was only prepared to the mass of people with two ground staff for one baggage drop counter and another two to three international check-in counters from 6pm to 7 pm. Although Air Asia has 15 counters available in Bangkok, they opened only 3 or 4 counters. There is no point in checking in before in Bangkok, because you might wait even longer in Bangkok. We were excited to stay at this rental because the reviews on VRBO all sounded so wonderful. Didn't know at the time that VRBO owners have control over posting their reviews, so potential renters will never see the negative reviews.
