Extremely disappointed with their business ethics. Made a reservation for rental in Vail, CO few weeks prior to arrival in March. This week got email that reservation had to be cancelled due to scheduling mistake, apparently owner of the property booked same place earlier then accidentally hit cancel and did not noticed it until I placed a reservation later on. I made a grave mistake in dealing with this person. This is a membership at a campground in Waverly TX. By having this membership I was allowed to use the campgrounds at Coast to Coast Resorts. I no longer have a need for this membership. In 2011 I did not send in the annual dues. They said they would ruin my credit rating if I did not comply so I have paid the dues for 2011 but I have not used the membership. I was told that if I wanted out it would cost me $792 + 2011 dues + late fees. I will not pay any future the cancellation fees, dues or maintenance fees. read full review »

Beware of Vivastay, they have poor cancellation policies and even worse customer service. I booked with Vivastay and needed to cancel. Their cancellation policy states a minimum of one night. One night is standard in the hotel industry. However, they charged me 2 of the 3 nights I booked. They offered no explanation or reason why it was more than the minimum. Even worse, they sent me an email stating that I had 3 hours to respond to accept the 2 nights penalty - or they would charge me for all 3 nights! I have called on numerous occassions to the South African Airways Voyager Call Centre to have missing miles updated to a Voyager account. I was requested by the Call Centre agen that the original boarding passes need to be posted via registered mail in order for the miles to be allocated. This was done and in the time SAA had an apparent system crash in Feb/March 2011 and was unable to retireve scanned information of the boarding passes. The Holiday Inn Express in Irwin is a pitiful excuse for a HIE. I'm a platinum member of Intercontinental and am very used to staying at Holiday Inn Expresses. This particular hotel in Irwin is at the bottom of the heap and I cannot beleive Holiday Inn hasn't done something about it. From the smokey and mildew smelling rooms to rooms with MOLD (e.g. Room 115), the HIE in Irwin should be a last resort. On July 4th in the evening, as I was laying in room 314 of this hotel, I felt my back itching. When I got up to check it out, I saw a bug crawling. After a few inspection, I noticed there were bed bugs on the pillow. I then lifted up the sheets and found two more crawling towards the headboard. I checked in on Friday (late afternoon) with no time to truly scope out the room. To the eye, it looked okay. It wasn't until my family and I got back to the room, went to sleep and woke up before realizing how bad the room was. There was a hole in the wall that they didn't bother to hide or patch up. Fire at Days Inn Hotel in Catonsville, MD. Lost $200.00 worth of personal belongings. before I boarded the bus at the terminal in Philly, Pa., I decided to use the restroom. It had to be the most disgusting restroom I ever encontered. WORST POSSIBLE INTERNATIONAL AIRLINE! Flight from LAX via CAN to MNL was nothing but problems from the check in counter(LAX) to landing(MNL). In August, AAA recommended the Occidental Hotel in Cozumel Mexico. Upon arrival, the room had a broken air conditioner, ants in the entire room, bedcomforter, walls, headboard, etc. After complaining, finally got a new room, room smelled of mildrew from leak in bathroom. Hotel claimed to have 5 restuarants, but failed to tell you that 1.lunch, 2. dinner, 3. breakfast, and the other 2 are at their descrision. No PIZZA parlor that they claim to have eeither.
