I was reviewing my debit card from Wal Mart and noticed a small charge taken out for "service providers" for $3.88. I don't use the card for that much except to pay my phone bill. Apparently Google Tree is an online scam that I was not aware of until I looked at the transaction on this card tonight. I am desperately concerned because it could have been for much more given the time of month. What does one do. I had anti virus and spy ware and all on my PC. Please help me understand this. A month ago I lodged a complaint regarding fraudulent charges on my account as the result of using it to "verify my age". I to was taken by Avalon Lending Solutions. I got a call from a David Rally, stating that I had been approved for a loan in the amount of 7000 with 8% interest. I wired the money thinking that it was legit. I had done my research and it seemed to be ok. I decided not to do the loan when they stated that they needed more money for the insurance payment to protect themselves in case I didn't make my monthly payments. I ordered a free trial product on November 23rd and received the order on January 5th. ( I live in Canada so that may be why it took so long) I was charged shipping charges for this order, as stipulated on their website. On December 15th I was charged $ 63.44 Canadian and on December 30th I was charged another $82.22 Canadian. I have not received any other product and did not agree to automatic shipments. As my husband always checks the statement and didn't bother with this charge thinking it was something I did it went unnoticed all this time. I called and cancelled, but wish to get a refund. Marriage, birth, death etc. At no time did they say it was based in US so I thought I would pay the premium, and look it up as they seemed to know.
