As stated by others, they require that you register and provide credit card information. As you move around the site, you suddenly get "bids" in your account with no authorization. You should immediately protest this since if you use one bid, the $150 charge goes through. In my case, it first showed 0 bids, then 500, then 0 and then 500. I made the mistake of making a few bids because it looks like a bargain, but they keep extending the auction. First they increased the price of the item. Then it was taking forever to receive the item even though I had to pay extra for the shipping, so I called to find out why. I recently purchased a beginner metal clay kit from Fire Mountain Gems. After only 4-5 uses, the butane torch that came with the kit will not work correctly. In order to turn it off, I now have to use a screwdriver to pry up the off button. This tends to be a little scary while holding a lit 1400 degree or so torch. I never got a refund. No response to e-mail or telephone call requesting refund because I did not want to buy software without a Certificate of Authenticity (CO) as soon as I found out that this was what they were trying to sell me. I used it to apply for a few credit cards last year, and immediately afterward my once very private email address was either sold and/or left unsecured by them, and I now get endless SPAM (most of it financial-related spam of course.) I signed up as a tutor with WyzAnt. They are a horrible company and I urge any who wish to tutor not to bother with these scam artists and have nothing to do with them.
