I have UBS account for a few years. Recently they played an old fashion trick with my account. UBS sent a letter stating that the account will be converted from one form to another and it will be $70 service fee. To avoid fee the customer has to call and request to convert it to a form without a service fee. If customer does NOT call within specified time, then by default the account will be converted to account with service fee. The trick counts that many people will overlook and will NOT call, so the bank will assess service fee for as long as people are unaware. I build a new home in 2006. The builder installed a Carrier Infinity furnace and air conditioner which cost over $11, 000. In June 2011, the blower motor and module on the furnace failed. Carrier would not honor the 5 year warranty because they insisted the warranty began in April 2006 when the builder installed the unit. The house was not completed until October 2006 when I moved in. First you purchase a 3 day trial membership. What you don't know is they've signed you up for 2 accounts. Then, when you cancel, they issue you a cancellation notice for 1 account but you don't realize that you've actually signed up for 2 accounts. They'll continue billing you until you catch them. Then, after you catch them, they'll wait awhile and start billing you again in the hopes that you won't catch them. The Duct Doctor advertised a coupon for $25.95 to clean my air ducts in my house. Before I knew it it was up to almost $600 due to 'mold'. Not only was I taken on that I made the mistake of paying up front. They then missed 3 appts with no call. To receive a one hour service it took from 4/11/11 to 5/9/11. No offer to reimburse and did not respond to my calls or emails requesting a refund of some sort. Do not use this company. I am saddened to hear of all these Victims of David Manning. He got me as also for tens of thousands. My company also had money stolen by David. It is true that he takes the money upfront then vanishes. I am available to anyone who wants my story. I ordered AT&T Unverse at the beginning of May and still don't have installed. I called over 7 times and they have input my a dress wrong then my zip and all of their customer reps have told me that they would resolve.
