Discount Posters ... In our last episode, when one submits an order to them, one is automatically enrolled in their Sale club. One cannot bypass that enrollment!!! After an order is placed, they e-mail an offer for "$10 coupon for taking a survey." If one takes that bait, one is also enrolled in a rebate club (rebate giant). Each is $9.95 a month. Once you catch on and request termination and reversal of charges ... they will do it, but only 2 charges (each club). I am currently looking at a 3rd charge, made the NEXT DAY AFTER CANCELING. Xhtmlchop is basically one of the worst PSD to html experiences we've had. Due date on the 11th, but still waiting on the 20th for simple error correction. Day after day of sending support tickets to fix really stupid errors, like typos, 404 errors, and totally deviating from the PSD. I mean what's the point of spending time with your designer getting everything pixel perfect only to have to email xhtmlchop over and over again with the words "look at the PSD". I was looking for a site where I could watch movies. I went to YAHOO answers and saw a suggestion for flickpeek.com. I went on and it said that it WOULD NOT CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD and only needed the number to verify that I was from the United States. Ok so I gave it to them. Then I went to my online bank and found that they had charged me. I then went back to the site to cancel and read that if I wanted to cancel online it would cost me .99 cents. CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARD. What a rip off.

We hired them to do our wedding on Sept. 11, 2010 and we are still waiting for our album and DVD of our hi-res images. They don't return calls and seldom return emails. In each email, has been some excuse, lost in the mail, photo lab delays, etc.

You order an ebook, product or other material from her. Her credit card processor takes your money and she never delivers the book. When you contact her 800# you get the run around. When you email her she sends you hate mail. When you realize that you’ve been taken and contact your own credit card company requesting an investigation and refund, by then it’s too late.

It was bound to happen that some group of schmucks was going to take the model search scams out there like Model Search America and jack up the price 5 to 10 times and proclaim it in the name of God. The name behind this unbelievable scam is AMTC Auditions. And guess what? This scam is even backed by the Better Business Bureau (goes to show you that the Better Business Bureau in itself might be a scam and needs to be looked into by the FTC).

Be very careful! I received a letter in the mail the other day, with garbled information in the To: section (based from a whois of a domain I own that's static now - I recommend getting a service that blocks your whois information to prevent these places from sending you mail). Based on that, I knew right away that they had gleaned my info. and was probably up to no good.
For one, I'm not stupid and my domain is registered with GoDaddy since September of last year. Why would I want to renew my domain through DROA for $30 a year... read full review »

W*Value Plus has been charging my credit card for $16.95 since Jan. 09. for a service that I know nothing about. I pay my credit card bill by computer and didn't catch the charges until last month. Now, when I call the number given on my credit card, the phone is answered by a recording saying that they need my password for a Conference Call set up. Can not find any way to talk to the person or company that is making these charges to my credit card each month. I order a bouquet from her over a month ago for my grandmother's funeral and asked for photos to be taken of the bouquet since I was out of state and would not be able to see them at the funeral. He told me that the defendent was giving him clients so he only talked to him for these matters...but I found out it wasnt true...He also comes to court reeking of alcohol! Their website states that you preorder the bobblehead and you will be contacted with further instructions to submit information so they can make your custom bobblehead. He came out to my house and did an estimate for a pool deck to be placed the following year. They inferred that there was and the cost would be 1.98 to view what was available for 24 hrs. so we paid the $1.98 and then three days later they charged my card for $33.62. I placed a 500 deposit into my account I was given 100 dollars released I used 95, and they charged me a 35 fee, when I called the customer service line they said "oh well its not really available so you should have known that" and got nasty with me, I asked for a supervisor and got a really rude male who said that it was my fault, and that there was nothing he could do, then I asked for his supervisor and he said "Oh I don't escalate calls to them" and HUNG UP ON ME!!! I tried to buy a GPS USB stick at http://mightygps.com. I ordered and paid via Paypal the entire amount owed. The stick was 61$ and the postage was 19, 45$. I live in Europa and this company is based in Canada, so the charges sounded reasonable, even though the weight of the entire packet was only something like 200-300 grams. No extra charges was given on their website.
