Big Local is a HUGE SCAM. They do not do anything to help your company and have an unfair and difficult cancellation policy- you have to mail them a letter, email them, and call them before they will cancel and then they charge you half your yearly contract. They did not have all our information to even optimize our company search and they DID NOT LET us know. When we found out, it took hours for them to promise a refund for one month, which they never gave us. I ordered a product from their website (an airbrush makeup product). I ordered it on April 5, 2011 and paid $6.00 for "Priority Shipping." Well, exactly two weeks later, I haven't received my item and I have sent approximately 6 emails attempting to contact them with a status of my order. This company called me 5 times, in the last week. Each time I answer there question, I ask not to be contacted ever again. They continue to call. They offer a one-off payment of four dollars and ninety-five cents US and then they charge your credit card that amount plus another thirty-nine dollars which continues monthly. I bought a chi hairdryer that was not cheap and after a year and a half the heating element went out. I looked on line to see who to call for repair and noticed numerous complaints of the same thing happening. I received a call yesterday from American Law Firm stating that I owed a payday loan to Advance Cash Usa that I took out in Dec 2010. This never happened. This all started about two weeks ago with the phone calls. I usually don't answer them unless I know the number, but this call was to my job. They had all of my information, job, bank, ss#, address. My experience with Orr seems to be the same as everyone else. No returned e-mails, no returned phone calls. Property owner claims that Orr has been paid entire contract less 50K, but Orr won't pay us and won't explain what they did with the money. The bank required no lien releases before handing over funds to Orr, so there is little trail as to who they paid and who they didn't pay. Times are tough enough right now.
