This website purports to be able to obtain an EIN number from the IRS for a dead person's estate. It charges $150 to do so. In fact, an EIN number is available from the IRS for FREE. In addition, any third party who tries to get an EIN number for an estate (that is, anyone other than the Executor) must have written authorization from the Executor to do so, and if lacking that, the third party is acting illegally. They told me that i signed a contract saying that i wasn’t able to cancel my subscription with them. I don’t recall signing anything, they signed me up through the phone so i don’t have any written proof that i signed any sort of contract. In December 2010 I signed with Worldpay for a 3 year contract that I expected to cost me $25 a month maximum since business has been slow. The cost with less than $100 in transactions was $46.78. Solicited and called by telemarketers for tax assistance. Make promised, overnighted materials. Got papers signed. Did some calling. Took 1000 dollars from account. DO NOT RENT EMAILS FROM THESE GUYS! You have been warned. They will give you fake references that seem real. I rented a list and more than 70% of the emails and contacts were no good. I received less than a 0.01% open rate and the click-thru rate was non-existent. I tried to complain but they would not even return my phone calls or emails.
