Here's a followup to my post I made on 6 Sep. On 7 Sep, Alphanex agreed via email to credit my account $56, but did not do so. I contacted my credit card company to resolve this. They said I had to wait 30 days from the date that Alphanex said they would credit the account before they could take action. So, I waited with no credit for $56 hitting my account. Again, I called my credit card company. They sent me the appropriate paperwork which I filled out and returned with receipts and copies of emails and phone bills. More waiting. This company should be shut down for predatory business practices. They sent my wife a book which we never asked for, never signed for, never gave any authorization nor agreed to any terms. This company placed a $29.99 charge on my Credit card without my knowledge. I had never heard of them previously. When I called, they explained that they don't sell a product, just fitness advice. They claimed that the charge was originated by Adipose.com - another company I had never heard of - only a web site per My Fitness. They were very willing to remove the RECURRING charge and credit my account for the 29.99 billing. About a year ago, I noticed that several charges began appearing on my credit card: $29.95 a month for Credit Diagnosis, $19.95 a month for Deal Max and $1.00 each for Pharmacy Gold and Your Savings Club. I have had my Chase Visa Credit card since 1995. As they say, do the math: 2009 - 1995 = 14 years. On my January 2009 Chase Credit Card Statement I observed that my minimum payment amount was increased from $85.00 to $235.00 per month even though I have been paying $250.00 per month. I've purchased several items with Aaron's and prior to may last payment on a TV I purchased the projection lamp went out. I called the company and they sent someone out to look at the TV and they decided to replace the lamp. It's the same M O as the Willard, James & Associates LLC . I'm very skeptical on all things that seem to good to be true. Although I do remember entering some years ago the type of sweepstakes they had mentioned. I do a lot of research and investigation on any gimmics, I ask a lot of questions . I bought the above mentioned item and have never used it. It is a portable power source (charger) which is to be kept in a 'charged state' to be used in case of emergency. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE UNIT DOES NOT HOLD A CHARGE, THEREBY RENDERING IT A$100.00 DOOR STOP. I purchased the product after seeing the infomercial on TV and unfortunately didn't check for any complaints on line first. This product is awful. The fabric it is made of is so stiff and uncomfortable it is impossible to wear for any length of time. The stitching started to unravel on the first washing. Julia -- the woman we spoke with was very personable and quick to respond to our questions. However, we feel she was very deceptive and unclear about the procedures of determining inventory and quotes. A man who said he was the owner came to my house to take an 'inventory'. This was apparently her father and he had a VERY THICK accent which was hard to understand. I joined FCCC in June 2005. It was only a month or so and they paid my bills late. I was giving them a chance to do well. That never happened. I repeatedly had to call them or fax them and ask them to pay my bills. I have a copy of every phone call I made and every fax that I sent to them.
