I purchased a car from Kelly automotive group with 5 year car guarentee in nov 2005. I paid 2200.00 for the guarantee In july of 2009 it needed trany work done. When the dealer called for work appraval they were told the contract had expired in January of 2008 seems in the small print if the car had over 6000 miles on it when sold the contract starts on january of manufacture date. My dealings with "Best" Engines and now Engine Exchange have been less then admirable. I purchased a rebuilt engine from the beginning I had problems. I was not given the correct parts to were to be included with my engine. There was a knock on the bottom end from the start. I went in on Wed, July 1st, 2009 to Big Tex Ford to look at a vehicle they advertised on their website. I had already filled out the credit application and received an approval. When I got there, they claimed the only way I could get the vehicle I wanted was to use someone else's name. Stephane Biachi of AAAutomovers lied to me. I wanted to have my car transported on March 9th. I was told many times they would be able to pickup my car on the date I requested. I was then sent an e-mail that gave me a different date. In April of 2009, I purchased a car from them online. It was represented to have 35, 000 miles. I paid $8216 for it, they charged a $782 dealer fee. They represented the car to be excellent. ABSA VF Consultant Jackie has been contacting me in an average of 4 times a day demanding payment, which i have already made and faxed and e-mailed the confirmation to ABSA. She is rude, she shouts, threatens to take my car and is generally unpleasant and requires training if she is to deal with clients. She hangs up while you try to explain yourself, she harasses you. Nowhere on the website does it in fact mention that you will be charged a minimum fee after engaging the reservation process. His proffesionally designed website will suck you (and me!) into believing the company is legitimate. Michaels Auto Sales, Hollywood, FL sold me a car which was shown to have defects on the inspection report, however they withheld this info from me in order to close the deal. Car was inspected 12/13/08 and they told me over the phone it was in perfect shape. I bought it 12/16 and discovered a fuel leak on 12/18 which cost me $436 to repair at Maroone Nissan of Miami who said fuel line had been tampered with when someone tried to repair it with plastic tape, so warranty was no longer valid. Purchased 2006 Gulf Stream from Camping World, N. Charleston in December of 2008. We've had to take in in for warranty work twice and each time they have kept it 3 to 4 weeks. My car dealership referred me to Aztec Rent-a-Car for a loaner car. When I returned the car, the clerk noticed minimal damage on the back bumper consisting of a small ½” x ½ inch patch of black paint missing. A year ago National forced my partner and I to drive a rental car, full of broken glass, back to the airport. This is after making us spend several hours in an underground parking lot waiting for answers.
