I lodged a Complaint to Whirlpool Service Centre with Phone No:6000 8558 at Chennai on 06-11-2009. They allotted Complaint No:08815. The Mechanic turned up on 08-11-2009 and just saw the Washing Machine. He stated that the Drum must be cleaned with Acid and Chemicals for which a sum of Rs.1350. should be paid so that the next day the concerned Service Personnel will bring the Kit, dismantle the Washing Machine, apply Acid & Chemicals and clean up. This website sells cheap electronics (specifically cell phone chargers & accessories) made in China that do not work. Most products, such as car chargers and wall chargers sell for under $10 (including shipping!) and just simply don't work. Consumers then have 48 hours to report their product "damaged" and even then are 100% responsible for shipping the item back for a refund. My wife and I replaced a 6 year old Dell desktop last August (2008) with an HP Pavillion a6500 desktop that we purchased at Best Buy. I ordered a telescope for 400 dollars from these guys and never received it. Now their website discountedmart.com is 404 file not found! Apparently they have had various names in the past, such as surplusdepot.net, and you can see complaints about these companies as well. I advise all to beware. We bought this washer about a year and a half ago. I paid alot of money for it. We have had one problem after another. The problems started a few months after we purchased it. It won't drain alot of the time. Sometimes the door locks and the clothes sit in water and you can't get the door to unlock to get them out. It will say nd and not drain. Withing warranty and the control key is gone despite normal use. They say it is not covered warranty. The local service provider HCL were to replace the keyboard at price - it is over two months and there is no sign of keyboard or information on that. Using the laptop with 'control' key feels like having a girlfriend without a tooth! Wonder if writing this would help - there is no way of getting to Toshiba. Absolutely no way. I have had a Magtag Neptune washer since 1999. First I had to pay $365 to replace a circuit on the board because the door would not lock or allow the spinning of tub about 3 years ago. Beware of scammers claiming they are from Philippine Custom. He will offer cellphones, plasma TV, wines, etc at very low prices. He would ask you to meet at a place near the airport and will get your money and will never show up again. He will even show you his Custom's ID and a certain Atty. HP Customer Relations Management I sent my new laptop computer in to fix a problem with the cooling fan and am now being asked to pay $300 to repair damage that clearly happened in transit to HP Repair Center or in their facility. HP has no system in place to deal with customer complaints and have made it very difficult if not impossible to reach a supervisor or anyone in authority that can help resolve a dispute.
