I signed a contract with online america and they said I had 14 days to cancel. I cancel throuh their web site and before I heard a reply it was past the time to cancel so they said I would have to pay the the 19.99 amonth for a year. They wer suppose to give technial support to set up for advertising and they did set the appointment but then never called. I ordered a replacement lamp in June and after 3 weeks of different stories of when it would arrive I cancelled the order. I had not received the refund after a week and called to complain. I was told that they had just changed their process and could not refund my card and that it would be sent out in the form of a check. I purchased Trend Micro's AntiVirus 2008 from Best Buy. Due to incompatibility issues I could not use it. Best Buy does not offer a refund for opened software so I contacted Trend Micro and asked how to get a refund directly from them, but they emailed me back telling me that they are "bound to comply with the retail store policies." It's quite absurd for them to hide behind a retail store's policies and totally abandon the customer with unusable software! I ordered merchandise totaling 40.00 they shipped my items and charged me 21.00 also joined children's book club for 3.00 they charged me 13.00 to send. I purchased Quickbooks Premier 2007 on August 28, 2008 from Soft4Download. I was able to use the product for about a month before the program demanded that I register it with Intuit. So as instructed I called Intuit to register. It was not long after I had given the operator the product and license key that the operator told me that I had purchased a pirated copy of quickbooks. I provided exceptional maintenance services to spence management group who owns 65 burger king stores in Illlinois, Ohio and PA. The work is above average, I did $5600 worth of free extra's and they out right refuse to pay for any labor. Since this problem of getting paid has started, I have found another 5 contractors who have been screwed around and not been fully paid if at all. THis is the standard pratice of this organization. Signed up only to be directed to a dirty page log in that had absolutely nothing with site i payed and registered for by credit card. It was a porn site which i have no interest what so ever in. The initial page of sign up was for application downloads such as rapid share. This company got my college aged son's credit card number and began sending him several magazines which are of no interest to him - he did not select them - and charged him 60 some dollars a month. He contacted his bank, cancelled the card and the bank agreed that this was fraudulent and they reversed the charges. Meanwhile, the magazines and the invoices kept coming. We always use TV subtitles 888 to watch and hear TV as we are hard of hearing. I have been watching ITV3 and ITV3+1 recently . ITV3 subtitles are very good whereas the same program on +1 suffers from delayed text. missing lines of text and even completely missing text for acouple of minutes. In August 2008, I purchased a copy of Adobe CS3 Design Standard for MAC from Software Clearance Center's web site ($694.00). We were told twice on the phone that we could go month to month and terminate services without a penalty. After a few months we terminated services and was told to pay a $295 fee or it would be sent to collection in four business days. I paid the fee. I asked them to review the tape of the conversation on the phone - they agreed to send me a transcript. They never listened and never sent me a transcript.
