Old Republic Home Protection does not pay on there claims. I had a working A/C when I bought the property and I purchased the ORHP warranty. Shortly after I closed the property, the A/C failed. I had a Home Inspection Report that indicated that the A/C was working but Old Republic still refused to pay the claim siting that the claim was a pre-existing condition, Even though the policy clearly states that pre-existing conditions are covered. I purchased laminated flooring and had their workmen put it in. They did a poor job as far as the cuts around the door frames. you could see huge gaps. Also there were gaps at the walls that even the base boards could not hide. We had windows and doors installed by Weatherseal. There is nothing obviously wrong with the products, its the complete disregard Weatherseal have for us, the customer. Windows installed within a week which was good. They the faults that had to be rectified went on and on and on. This heater, another cheap piece of crap made in China, stopped working in February; we bought it in October. Since Feb. 24, I have been given the runaround by customer service, saying variously that the part (fan motor) was on back-order, was not on back-order, that I would get it in two days, that I would get it in a week or ten days, etc. I still do not have the part, so I am giving up and requesting a full refund for the return of the heater. I have been receiving calls from an agent at Furnmart in the collections department due to late payment of monthly fees for products obtained from Furnmart Botswana Station branch from a Mrs. Moeng, who is decidedly rude and unprofessional in her conduct. I want to share my experience with Dow Bond Plumbing. Started as a simple repair for less than a thousand, but Bond told me the current hot water delivery system was not up to code. He kept adding what had to be done. When the state inspector came he told me the original installation did meet code. We had five windows replaced about eight years ago by Champion. There are warrantied against failure for life. All five windows have failed and are foggy.
