Bought furniture at Furnish 123 off of Culebra/1604 in mid February and was told furniture would not be available for delivery until mid March. When the warehouse contacted us to schedule delivery they set up a time frame between 1pm and 3pm. They finally arrived to deliver the furniture an hour and half late at 4:30 pm. We built a new home in 2002 using Andersen 400, green, vinyl clad, double hung windows. We recently noticed large openings, some in excess of 1/4", in the corners both top and bottom on the exterior frames where the vinyl appears to have opened up (pics attached). Fridge was taken in for repairs on the 16th of March 2011. Fridge was delivered and we were invoiced for R1200. Which was paid immediately. I needed a new water heater and of course I needed it immediately. I used Home Depot installation services and they sent Olshan's Plumbing. They did a good job. However, they were more than very expensive. The price just kept going up and up. $11.25 per foot for pvc pipe (I needed 20 feet for the overflow), $125.00 just to go under the house. My $600 water heater wound up costing me $2000.00. Do not use these people. Their mark up on parts is incredible!!! Did I mention not to use these people? Within 4 minutes I had emailed requesting they cancel the order but 50 minutes later they sent me an email stating order has been processed and they do not accept cancellations. I was told the only thing I could do was not accept the order, the items would be credited however I would be stuck with the full amount of shipping. Whirlpool engineer visited my home end March 2011 to check the non-working window AC and gave in writing that the rotary compressor was not functioning. The compressor is within 5 years warrantee period. The AC was taken away on 1st April and returned in my absence after 11 days with some old compressor which is groaning and making intolerable noise. Even after my family protested that the repair was ineffective and bad, they still installed it. I find attitude of the repair workshop very poor. STAY AWAY...Purchased a $1000 berkline sectional reclining sofa, which "had" a Limited Lifetime warranty on the frame and mechanism. In less than 2 years a s spring popped and needs fixed. I called the berkline and they said it was older than 1 year, the warranty covers labor for a year . How in the heck is that a LIFETIME warranty.. I recently had my gas meter changed by British Gas to a pay as you go meter. As I was unaware that the meter had been changed, I called a plumber, presuming that my boiler had broken. He came and told me that there was no gas, took the money and left. They offered a low rate for an AC checkup. Upon arrival, NO maintenance was performed. They tried to sell me replacement capacitors for parts that were still good at 10X the actual cost as well as WAY overpriced services such as coil cleaning and drain cleaning. If you decline, they pressure you to buy the 3 year ($499.00) service agreement to cover "necessary" repairs. As they were unpacking each item I was scanning it for any defects; sure enough every single piece of the bunk bed was defected, scratched, the wood was fractured, and the steps were completely broken. I was told on the phone that it would be $200 if they could use existing cleanout, and $500 additional if no cleanout was available and they needed to remove my toilet. A dishwasher, purchased new from Conn's had hoes that sprayed water in back of cabinet. When I caught it I called for service. Besides their not taking responsibility for the installation or lack of, which is not longer under warranty, which was their fault in the first place, unless I should go into the appliance repair business.
