I was employed at a Starship store a couple of years ago. My employment term with them lasted a year. In that time, I went from a sales associate to store manager. My complaint stems from Starship's seemingly random pattern of firing employees with no warning at any time. Georgia is a "right to work" state, which means that you can quit or be fired at any time for any reason at the discretion of your employer with no legal recourse and believe me, this company takes full advantage of it. I worked for the company for 6 years. I stepped up for almost a year. Do you know I got a dollar raise for stepping up? Instead of me getting offered the job permantely, they hired an outsider and took all but five cents off the raise away from me. I feel duped by XMBrands. I responded to their “free” trial offer for “Colopure Cleanse” on 2/11/2010 fully expecting to get a product I could use. Note that the name "XMBrands" does not appear in the product promotions that I responded to. Company does not answer their phones to let you "cancel at any time" they have hours between 7am - 4pm pacific standard time that you must call to cancel but no one answers the phones. I had to send 5 emails to a "customer service email" with no answers back at all. I waited on hold on 3 different occasions to cancel waiting time over 45 minutes on each occasion with no answer. I was told of a postion making one figure and the night before I started I asked to verify the figure and was told I was mistaken the actual pay was $ 6.50 an hour LOWER than I was told. I still accepted the position and every Friday have faxed my time sheet to 2 different locations, to be told on the following Tuesday they don't have my time sheet. I refax along with my confirmation pages and call to verify that the fax has been received, still no pay check. I was told today I haven't fax in a time sheet since 3/14/10. Took out Health Care Insurance with this company and they have withdrawn the monthly premium out of my checking account. My wife developed lung cancer. We used the health cards provided by the company to go to the doctors, hospitals, and lab test. It came in, but after use it smelled NOTHING like WOODS nad it has virtually zero lasting effect. The customer service is terrible. My package was lost in the mail, apparently never got scanned at the post office. Dollars 4 Gold only insures their packages for 100 dollars not 500 dollars as advertised. Neither the postoffice nor dollars 4 gold will take responsibility for lost items.
