I ordered what I thought was a trial kit from Sheer Cover. I was told it would cost me $9.98 + sh of $7.95. I repeatedly asked the person I was talking to on the phone that this would be the only charge and that I could cancel within 30 days. She assured me that I had 30 days to try the make-up and all I had to do was call to cancel future shipments. I repeatedly asked her that I would not be charged any more if I cancelled within 30 days. She then told me about other products. I finally agreed to some vitamins, not knowing that so many... read full review »

My wife registered at the Crunch Fitness Center near her work place when we lived in Chicago. About 3 months ago when we were in the process of moving to Maryland she tried to cancel her gym membership, that was when our problems started. She was informed by the gym that she needed to have proof that she was moving from the Chicago before she can cancel her contract. The gym also required a 30 days notification with a utility bill which was the only proof they would take. Well; what that means is that if I moved to leave with a family member... read full review »

JNY - Jones Apparel Group, Inc.
November 12, 2007
I purchased a nice looking JNY eyeglass frames from my optometrist. I even selected the kind with the reverse spring loaded hinges to prevent the frames from bending, but with very normal use (taking them off with one hand) I am constantly bending the frames to the point where they are loose on my head. I can re-bend the frames with my fingers (the metal is that soft). I know that the metal will eventually fatigue and break. I would avoid JNY frames at all costs. I took my Louis Vuitton scarf to Crisp-N-Clean dry cleaners in Jalan Talawi, Bangsar, KL. They sent it off for dry cleaning and it came back totally ruined (wrinkled, faded, thinner and totally different to when I took it in, I can't even see the LV pattern on the scarf anymore). The scarf was a birthday gift and cost RM1,500. Crisp-N-Clean are not willing to provide compensation for even half this amount. They will only provide 10 times the value of the dry cleaning bill, which is RM100. I am totally dissatisfied with their service and the way in which they have handled this. read full review »
