I told the woman on duty that we were coming to the dog show and asked if the dogs spent the night in the room and did not come into the hotel if there would be a pet fee. What my husband and I thoght to be a great vacation option from Travel Advantage Network (TAN) has been nothing but a scam and rip off. For 1 year we have paid for this package never receiving the "so called" free cruise that was used to lure us to purchase their package. In January of 2010 the maintenance fee for 2010 was paid to Solmar. I then called RCI and deposited this week with them in order to use this week to trade for a week at some other resort. There was no further communication from Solmar or RCI. In November of 2010 I checked RCI to see that my deposit was there and it was not. RCI told me that Solmar had refused the deposit. Last night (Nov 22, 2010) my girlfriend and I flew from Stansted to Porto by FR 8347. We had guests coming into town to stay with us. Both my wife and I became ill and, not wanting them to catch our bug, decided to put them up in a motel at our expense. I made a $100.00 deposit for the free vacation and when i called to book the trip 6 months later they stated that they emailed me to book the reservations and never replied so I lost the oppurtunity to have the free trip. October 8th my husband and I and old friends boarded a Viking Ship, the Mirabelle, in Lyon France. WE took this ship because 2 of the 4 of us are handicapped and needed an elevator. It didn't work all week and it appeared there was no effort to fix it. The ship was old and at first our bathroom had a bad smell.
