I have just found out that I was billed three times for a single booking for a Qantas flight. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with a Qantas representative in Australia who was unable to sort out my problem as all the credit card information for US booked flights is taken care of in New Zealand. Of course the New Zealand office was closed forcing me to wait. Meanwhile, my account is overdrawn incurring fees, my rent has bounced incurring a late fee. This is actually true. The Palace Premier Resort in Punta Cana and Mexico is complete scam. We was taken right at the airport where they impersonated an Experian representative. We filed credit card fraud and Identity theft with federal agencies and filed a dispute with the bank. Up to this point we have not heard any results. I booked a room in Econolodge (Niagra falls-US) for the memorial day weekend. Just one night before our scheduled departure, my 2 yr old son fell sick (high temperature and coughing). I used my Debit Visa card at Flying J Travel Stop, Exit 277, I-20, Tye, Texas for fuel. I purchased $20.04 in fuel and ran my card as a credit as I did not want to put my pin # in at the pump. I accidently stopped by the Inn of Ventura hotel by Best Western, 709 E. Thompson, Ventura, California because I thought I was at the Vagabond Hotel. Big mistake. The room that I was shown was dirty and unkept and when I told the person who identified himself as the owner I would look elsewhere, he became very nasty. On April 29 2011 I made a reservation by phone at Holiday Inn Exp. P.S.L. for June 2 and June 3 (confo # LK18273) . I was told they had to have a credit card # to hold the room. While flying with jetblue, I had a pair of new running shoes stolen from my luggage. I noticed it the next morning when I started to unpack my luggage after a long day of travelling with my 5 month old baby (this was still within 24 hrs of my flight) I called jetblue and they said that there was nothing that could be done as I should have noticed this and complained within 4 hours of my arrival at the airport, even though I live 3 hours from the airport. When we confronted them with evidence that VTC and other clubs charge a fraction of that fee, they offered, and we accepted, as a compromise, two VTC-Vouchers $1, 000 each. We booked and paid for two nights in advance at this hotel. We stayed one night and asked for a refund for the following night because we felt unsafe. Rooms were not clean, possible bed bugs. smell of hash was disturbing in our non smoking room and along the corridors. Obvious drug dealings ongoing in front of the hotel staff. Do NOT stay here. The cost per night was $90 bucks ...Much safer better hotels in the area for a few dollars more. Managment were disrespectful and unsreasonable. I am Appalled to say that although I thought that Tiger Airways Australia was a budget airline, I was thoroughly disgusted to find my flight from Melbourne to Sydney on Sunday 22nd May 2011 (5pm) cancelled, when I arrived at the Airport at 4pm. Several to choose from; 8 day 7 night stay, or a cruise, or two free airfare tickets with two night stay etc. All we had to do was come to listen to the sales pitch with Holiday Passports which is affliated with Holiday Travel of America. After visiting Arusha in Tanzania to visit local projects, such as schools and orphanages, I visited one specific orphanage where it became clear to me that Projects Abroad, an UK based organization (say Company), sends volunteers there to help at the home and school and stay with local host families. I recieved a gift card from a friend because I am an avid golfer. The gift card is for $100.00. I've had the card for some time but I never gave it another thought because the card has no expiration date on it anywhere. ILX, Los Abrigados in Sedona, Arizona offered a Voucher(good for one year) for a train ride on the Verde Canyon Train for 3 Adults for a 90 minute tour of their resort. My wife and I completed the tour in Sept 2008 and recieved the voucher. We followed all the instructions on the voucher, made the reservations, turned in the voucher for travel on the train and 45 days after the travel, recieved a charge of 164.85 on our charge card for the tickets from the railroad due to the ILX Resort not honoring the Voucher.
