I know that this is a scam, any real contest does not ask the winner to send money to go towards the cost of handling and processing winnings. There must be something that can be done to stop these people as many people who are not well off and receiving such a letter would fall into the trap. I had paid for flower bouquet to be delivered in India for marriage anniversary of a couple. The merchant charged $7 but never delivered. I was notified from the British Toyota Lottery that I was a win- ner on 11/30/07. I have paid almost $1, 900 in fees. I just learned something. I signed up for a free trial at Ancestor.com. Had to give them a credit card which wouldn’t be charged if I cancelled within 14 days. I tried to cancel today and went through all the steps, but it felt like when I was done it wasn’t complete.
