Was quoted $150 (i.e.: one hours work) for preparation of simple tax return...final bill =over $1, 000. Returns and all tax information being held hostage until balance paid in full. I called Zducts Inc to get my air ducts cleaned for $40. The technician came out and said i had holes in the ducts and they would rip if they cleaned them and that i need to replace all the duct work. They wanted $5500 to replace 14 vents and install 2 more vents with R6 ducts that have some polymer material inside and fiberglass on the outside so rats can't chew into the ducts. This antivirus product does not exist. They put a trojan virus on your computer and make you buy their product for $50 unless you reboot and do a system restore. They then send download links that don't exist and freeze up the machine, so you have to do a reboot and system restore. They don't even remove the trojan, which is what I expected at the least-a sort of hostage/release blackmail scam. I would just like to make a comment. The day after the budget speach, when the minister of finance announced the increase in sin taxes, retailers decided that it is a good idea to immediately raise the prices of their ciggarettes. The increase is only effected from 1 March 2010. My credit card number was stolen on line and used to make fraudulent purchases. The bank removed all the charges and cancelled my Visa account. A letter arrived for me stating I had an over due account at Oreck for $687.93. This letter was sent to the wrong address and for an item purchased fraudulently. I do not want to get bad credit for a purchase I never made. I have tried to call their customer service number for months, since Dec 2009 and can never get through. Once in months of trying after hours I got through to an actual person who siad the billing department was closed. Mirage Pools commenced work on installing our pool in June 2009 and is continuing to this date. They have never come back to finish the job despite numerous phone calls and faxes sent to their office. I signed up for leads via FavoriteAgent.com or Pipeline Technologies. They started by sending out "The Ultimate Listing Presentation". In the presentation it talks about how important it is to get good leads cheaply and discusses cost for leads with this company.
