Ebay - Rebecca Wildfong (ID-noahstar2000)
January 16, 2007
I won an ebay auction from Rebecca Wildfong in which I paid for within 5 minutes of the auction ending. After 14 days, I received the wrong set of bowls. I find that Rebecca Wildfong has turned my bid on an auction win into a direct order to Tupperware. After almost 3 weeks, she sent the correct set of bowls through yet another person/company in another state. Rebecca Wildfong sent me the money to ship back the original WRONG set of bowls, to her, even though she did not ship them to me, Tupperware did, and I boxed and shipped them back to her... read full review »

The Doctor's House
January 16, 2007
We had 9 people crammed into a table for 8 even though I had called 3 times to confirm that my table would be big enough. When we changed tables, the waiter gave me "a present for you"— a bottle of house wine which appeared on my bill! When I contacted them via letter, I did get a call from the manager who gave me no satisfaction, and no apology and refused my request of a refund for the price of the wine. Food wasn't replenished on the buffet table, so even though I was paying $39 per person, my group had no dessert whatsover— just piles of cake crumbs and cream. read full review »

Firebird Arts and Music of Oregon
January 16, 2007
In August, I ordered, via the internet, one CD from Firebird Arts & Music, PO Box 30268, Portland, OR 97294 for $22.50. My VISA was double billed for this purchase, an 8/9 transaction posted on 8/10 and an 8/15 transaction posted on 8/16. Despite repeated emails and regular mail, the only response I have had was asking if I received 2 CDs. I emailed them "no" in November, and since the have had no response to my continued efforts to contact them. I have no idea whether this is a single instance of unethical behavior, or whether this company is in the habit of ripping off the public. read full review »

Long Kitchens aka Long Fence
January 16, 2007
My experience with Long Kitchens (also known as Long Fence). James from Long Kitchens came to our house. He wasn't prepared. He didn't have all counter top or cabinet samples with him. I should've shown him the door, but didn't b/c we were promised a $500 discount over the $750 promotion if we had them come out during the week before 5 pm. My husband had already taken off work to be there, so we couldn't reschedule. He measured, told us the cost of our kitchen. We talked it over and agreed to go with them as he... read full review »

Mozilla Firefox Browser
January 16, 2007
I'm once again trying Firefox. I keep reading reviews on it, on how good it is and I see all the extensions you can use with it, that you can't use with Avant Browser. Firefox is slow compared to Avant. I keep getting these reset connection errors that I never get with Avant. the 2 browsers are alot alike, they both have tabbed pages, everything generally is the same except it's slower for some reason loading pages. I guess I will once again uninstall Firefox and go back to Avant. Hopefully Avant some day will make some extensions you can use. read full review »

ESP Salon
January 16, 2007
I am writing to complain about the ESP Hair Salon in Norfolk, Nebraska located at 2606 Norfolk Avenue Phone: 371-1135. My friend purchased a $50 gift certificate for me there and it had a very short expiration date on it. When I couldn't redeem it in time, I called to ask them if they would still accept it, since it was a large amount. Instead they told me that it was their money now and they didn't have to give me anything. Very rude on the phone. This salon has no customer service and I will complain about their... read full review »

La Spina Salon - Mahopac, NY
January 16, 2007
I had a horrible experience at La Spina Salon located in Mahopac, NY. My hair was ruined. I went in for a highlighting and they turned my hair a horrible mixture of yellow and reddish tones. I knew something was wrong when my scalp starting burning. They didnt seem to concerned that I was horribly upset with the outcome. They were just interested in getting payment. After I asked them, they said I could come back to try to fix it but I am scared they will make it worse. It was the most horrible experience of my life. Their lack of... read full review »

Verizon Termination Fee
January 16, 2007
I have a family plan with 3 lines. I only need only line so I contacted Verizon to ask about early termination fees for two of the lines. One contract term expires in March and the other in April. I contacted them because I understood new consumer law states they had to pro rate the fee based on the expiration date of the contract. I am willing to pay a pro-rate termination fee that's fair but not $175 per line. This is the same for a contract expiring in 2 months as it is for a contract expiring in a year. This makes no... read full review »

I had a procedure done in 6/06, received bill and paid in full in 10/06. received another bill with the exact same date and codes only appeared twice and the bill had obviously been added twice. After numerous calls to the number listed on the bottom of the page and I even directly called the billing dept at least 8 times no one ever called me back. January 16, 2007
I was buying a box of chocolate lollypops at the same price of a box already made up. The price went up to $.60 from $.55 when sold separately. But seeing I eat one a day to keep my craving of chocolate to a minimum, I buy the whole box. Last time I paid $13.75 for the made up box, and today they wanted $18.75. I was aghast. If the price does not go down, I will have to look elsewhere for my craving habit. They were $.50 not too long ago. The price keeps going up. But my allowance doesn't and I am a senior, senior, so that is why I... read full review »

HP 517 Digital Camera
January 16, 2007
I had a HP 517 digital camera that would not take more than 3 or 4 pictures before the "battery dead" message appeared and it shut down. Sometimes turning it off then on again would "revive" it. Using regular alkaline AA batteries would't work - they caused the camera to shut down when I tried to take the very first picture. I called HP and after holding for quite a while each time, I had to talk to 9 different people in 3 sessions, most who's command of English was marginal. I had to fax in proof of purchase... read full review »

Black & Decker Power Tools
January 16, 2007
Black & Decker used to mean quality in home appliances and you could feel good about purchasing their products. This Quick N Easy food processor is garbage. Cheap, poorly manufactured plastic pieces and nobody gave any thought to the "convenient" spout which spews product all over the counter when you try to use it. Maybe if you had a container the size of the kitchen sink to catch whatever you're trying to shred... The main problem, however, is the locking lid. Cheap, cheap, cheap! Alamo Car Rental - St. Louis, MO

In October of 2006, I rented a car from Alamo in St. Louis for a short vacation I was taking with my 3 year old daughter. While on the vacation, we returned to our car after exploring the art museum. On the windshield of the rental car was a "parking violation" for expired registration/plates. I contacted the Alamo roadside assistance. My Sony Grand WEGA LCD Projection TV is one of many Sony TVs with defective optical blocks. This is the main projection component costing over $1,000 to replace.
