I purchased a CD for a program called Grantmaster over the internet. The site I was on had many other links and by the time I knew it I had three different passwords and three different usernames. Anyhow I only made that one purchase for the CD I never authorized any other charges. The CD was purchased at least 60 days ago. This unauthorized charge was made in October of 2007. We ordered a used Crown RC30 forklift which Scott said had 1614 hours on the hour meter. I then called to get the forklift serial number, and the Crown dealer said the lift has 9603 hours on it a week before when it was in for service. Somehow, the hour meter changed from 9603 to 1614 hours in a week. I called Scott and tried to cancel the order, but they would not refund my $500.00 deposit, and denied the hour meter fraud. I get 6-10 calls per day from this number. The solicitors are adamant that they have gift cards to send me and if I pay them $21.85 in shipping, I'll receive over $350 in "rewards" cards. This company has developed quite a reputation for dishonest work practices pertaining specifically to Gas/Propane delivery. I tried to cancel a recurring monthly fee which I apparently was not aware of when I visited the website to see about obtaining a free credit report. I found a debit transaction on my banking report and alerted the bank of an authorized purchase. I have had a charge off on my Experian Credit Report for almost 11 months now that I can not get removed despite disputing it 2 times. The charge off says that I owed JC Penney $1200 and that they wrote it off back in June 2002 after it was not paid.
