Googad is the current name of an ongoing Internet fraud scam. The methodology is to mooch off the good name of a successful company (ebay, Wal-Mart, and Google so far), use that company's logo on an authentic-looking Web site (and some favorable quotes about the company they are exploiting). Unfortunately, yet another that has fallen prey to this despicable company. It's pretty much the same story...email you a "Binding Estimate" or "Binding Quote, " then arrive to your home and all of a sudden everything changes. I completed all the necessary things for this request (6!) and was supposed to receive a 500$ gift certificate, yet I received nothing. Consumergain said that I only completed 3 of their offers, even though I had actually paid for a few including a cosmetics one, netflix AND bockbuster and columbia house. All the company wants is more money and they don't follow the contracts that are signed. I have paid over $5000 to them for my son and he has only been called to 4 auditions. This company sent me (2) two separate orders even though they were both ordered on the same day and under the same order #. I had to track the order down since according to my records, I placed the order on November 10th and they did not ship until November 17th. Viapren doesn't work, it’s scam and ripped me off for $48. By charging me with out me ordering. I called my credit card company to cancel. They claim they told me my card would be charged after a 10 day trial starting from the time the order was shipped. They charged my card and sent the same size package as the first one for 5 times the amount and I didn't even want it. It doesn't do any thing. They were very sarcastic and told me I couldn't get a refund of the same value because of restocking, shipping and the package could get lost. So they offered me a $15 refund. I received a letter and a check for $4875 informing me I was the $125, 000 winner of the 'North American Shoppers Sweepstakes'. WOW, LUCKY ME! I am instructed NOT to cash the $4875 until I contact the 'Tax Claim Agent' at a provided phone number. Hmmm, I thought this was an advance on my winnings? Found company on internet to make cell phone repair. Quoted the repair would be $60. When the company received phone on Oct. 1st, they diagnosed it and said two other problems were found on the phone and the total of the repair would be $90. We made an offer on a single family home in Towamencin township on May 16th contingent on a successful home inspection with a deposit of $1000. We choose "option 1" on the agreement of sale. The inspection did not go well and we elected to continue our home search. The realtor says he cannot release the $1000 deposit to us without the seller's signature and the seller refuses to sign. Scott, the service manager at Gunn Nissan and his helper Jeff were extremely rude, disrespectful, and bordered on sexist toward me. Nissan was required to repair a scratch they put on the car but Scott decided I had an "attitude" and refused me service. Jeff claimed that they were not representing Nissan and that they were Gunn. I was out with a friend and ran out of cash at the club. So why not use my debit/visa right? Wrong! I made a single purchase at the bar and was given my card back. Then I check my balance online only to find out that DC's made two other charges that night on my card. This added up to 90 dollars in unauthorized charges. I get the phone number: 203-797-3222 showing up on my caller ID (Unknown Name) several times a day, this continues into the evening and they have even called before 9 a.m. on a Saturday morning. I experienced high pressure sales. I received repeated phone calls, morning, noon and night. They build the suspense for the rate quote and I was told I must accept immediately, or the rate will automatically be higher. They tell you it's just a deposit (for the full amount) but you have 30 days to review their policy. Got four calls, within minutes, from same supervisor, after I requested they remove my name from their calling list. They just wanted another chance to "explain".
