Assurant renter's insurance is a scam! I was required by the apartment complex I was in for 10 months to have renter's insurance. I was recommended these clowns at Assurant. I tried canceling the policy once I moved out of the apartments and they told me it would be 3-5 business days. I couldn't just cancel over the phone...although it is easy as can be to start a policy over the phone. They want you to submit a cancellation notice by mail. A Metro Foods truck driver had his windows rolled up and music blaring when backing into a Food Basics loading dock on June 04 2011. He could not hear the honking of over 15 cars in his way due to his music, and was consequently about to kill 10 people who were trapped in their cars. The trailer touched the windshield of one car, and almost ripped it in half until a pedestrian jumped on the driver's windshield to stop him. The Colorado Department of Revenue makes it virtually impossible to reach them either by phone or the Internet if you have questions regarding your refund or taxes withheld. They will only take as many calls as will fill a 15 minute que. If you are not one of the lucky callers you are unable to hold and must continue to call back repeatedly just to get into the que. I made a reservation and needed to cancel. I called for four days and e-mailed twice with no response from the company. I called the parent company, Expedia and they refused to cancel but gave me the phone number for Travelscape (702) 938-2100 which has limited business hours. After another several phone calls I got through and was able to cancel but got ripped off for part of the refund. Geico should never use this company again.. I had nothing but problems taking the insurance 6 hour stupid course. The short sentence that I had to type for authorization of myself never worked.. It locked me out every single time I tried to enter it.. Customer Service is helpless and tech support must be a bunch of highschool drop outs who should be saying "Do you want fries with that". We received our new PN59D8000 on March 29th. First off, we had a problem with the bluetooth components on the TV and had it repaired by Samsung technicians on 4/11. The TV seemed fine after that and functioned fully for almost exactly one week. On the morning of 4/18 we watched TV normally without incident. We spend around a thousand dollars, and an employee asked us to move from the table as we are still eating, very rude. The food is bad, expensive. This company called claiming to be our copier company. They stated that the cost of our toner was going up and they would sell us a case at the "old" price. They mailed one toner cartridge and invoiced us $587. I thought this was for the case and paid the invoice. A couple of days later they called and said they were getting ready to send out another cartridge and that they would invoice us. That's when I knew something was up. When Roger's Towing arrived, the driver/operator placed the lifting mechanism too close to the cars front wheelwell and damaged both sides when he raised the lifting mechanism. I have UBS account for a few years. Recently they played an old fashion trick with my account. UBS sent a letter stating that the account will be converted from one form to another and it will be $70 service fee. To avoid fee the customer has to call and request to convert it to a form without a service fee. If customer does NOT call within specified time, then by default the account will be converted to account with service fee. The trick counts that many people will overlook and will NOT call, so the bank will assess service fee for as long as people are unaware. First you purchase a 3 day trial membership. What you don't know is they've signed you up for 2 accounts. Then, when you cancel, they issue you a cancellation notice for 1 account but you don't realize that you've actually signed up for 2 accounts. They'll continue billing you until you catch them. Then, after you catch them, they'll wait awhile and start billing you again in the hopes that you won't catch them. The Duct Doctor advertised a coupon for $25.95 to clean my air ducts in my house. Before I knew it it was up to almost $600 due to 'mold'. Not only was I taken on that I made the mistake of paying up front. They then missed 3 appts with no call. To receive a one hour service it took from 4/11/11 to 5/9/11.
