They are the absolute worst - get more for your money by buying at Ikea - or a custom shop, less headaches and less aggravation. A total *** job, was sent broken cabinets glued an inch apart or not glued at all. Fell apart when I opened them, doors missing, hinges missing. What a mistake, a total disaster this company is.

I ordered two security wallets and they arrived in a timely fashion and that's about all the good I can say. The first wallet started pulling apart within a couple of days. My husband and I went into our local Ashley furniture store for a tv stand and walked out with $4000.00 worth of furniture.
A tv stand, loveseat, sofa, rocker/recliner and three stands. Six of the seven pieces had issues with them. The rocker/recliner had rips in the leather and looked like it had been dropped. the leather is coming off the back of the sofa, the coffee table had a crack and I refused it, the corner stand has a gouge in it and the tv stand was put together wrong and the door would not close.

I went to their offices today (a rainy day) and had the displeasure of having a conversation with the owners to collect a past due invoice. Do not use Sears repair! They had 2 consecutive days of no show, and all they had were excuses. They were polite on the phone, but they did not offer any compensation for 2 wasted days. garbage disposal
I purchased a garbage disposal and a service contract to remove the old one and replace it with the new one. The service man did half the job and said the wiring was in bad shape and it should be looked by a electrical repair person. He said that this report would be turned into the Sears repair service and the will call me and tell me what they are going to do. I received no call. i bought a servis washing machine, installed it and tried to do a test wash, the machine did not work, contacted servis who sent a engeneer out, he told me it needs a new mudule which im still waiting for after 3 weeks, havnt even done one wash, everytime i ring it takes 20-30 minutes before they answer, im trying to explain to them iv paid for a working washer not a fualty one but it seems the aftersales people dont seem to understand or care, they dont listen to what you say and are rude. this is not my first servis machine but definatly my last read full review »

I was charged $221.00 on my credit card for cancelation on service when I never canceled service. I was not warned of cancelation and have paid for services regularly. The owner said my fiance told him to cancel our service. The service is in my name, I signed the agreements, the credit card account is in my name and I am the customer they are doing business with. They were not authorized to do this and did it without any notification. My fiance never told them to cancel service and neither did I. It took them three weeks to put together a job they said it would take DAYS to do. THey kept telling us they could have our floors installed by a VERY SPECIFIC DEADLINE we gave them, kept saying, "Oh we have that in the warehouse, it won't take more than a day to get it done"- Turns out the warehouse is in another state, and they have to ship and then acclimate before they can install the floors. On 3 August I ordered a coffee table from CoffeeTableSuperstore.com - one of Mercantila's "companies". They delivered the table base on 19 August, but the glass table top was broken and the FedEx guy said he didn't even put it on the truck because glass was falling out of the box.

In July, Jenkins Brothers construction began removing tile from the lanai of the condo unit adjoining ours. Friends were staying in the condo at the time and stated the noise from the jackhammering was distressing and close to unbearable. It continued for three days. Hired “My Handyman” to install a modular shower enclosure (already bought) at a vacant cottage. Owner Tina Gleisner told me 3 hours at $84/hr unless they had problems & I authorized more. No mention of “trip fees” or other add-ons. For this double-market rate hourly fee, they were to provide 2 skilled craftsmen with a minimum of 15 years experience each (on franchise website). The plastic washer drum casing failed after two years use. Water flowed over electrical parts and onto the floor, creating an electrocution hazard. Original Mattress Factory deserves a 1 out of 10, ie... as a last resort, you can weave blankets together to get better quality sleeping surface, if you run out of blankets... then consider a soft OMF product. The hardware is good, and a good deal, I had the frame set up in 2 minutes, solid, no tools. We bought 3000 worth of mattresses, sheets and bedframe parts to replace the ones damaged in a fire.

I bought a $92 service agreement on my sears dryer. I asked the service man to also check out why my Sears washing machine was not working properly and he told me that it would cost $80 for him to come out and look at the washing machine even though he was already coming out to perform the service maintenance on the dryer. Our oven began beeping and displayed the error code "FO". We contacted Sears and they sent out a repairman who checked the oven and told us we needed an oven control module. He charged us $70 and the part cost $205. On 9/8/08 a repairman came to install the part and charge us another $137. On 9/11/08 the oven displayed the error code "FO" again. Do not use this business. I was overcharge for a new air conditioner unit and they did faulty installation that cause my air conditioner unit to leak FREON. This unit was under warranty and they still charged me $500 to fill-up a 3 ton unit with FREON. Afterwards, I called another Plumber and they said this should have been covered under the warranty. He also said I was way overcharged for the price of FREON. I took this company to the BBB and they are still fighting. LOWES EXTENDED WARRANTY
Our Frigidaire stove that is a little over a year old, has a chip in the porcelain on the top of the stove. Since the manufacturer warranty recently expired, we contacted Lowe's as we had purchased an extended warranty at the time we purchased the stove. A service technician from A and E factory service came out on September 23, 2008. He deemed the defect to be cosmetic and had us sent touch up paint. I purchased an electric Jenn air range 2 years ago and have had to call for service 7 times. Jenn air will not cover latest call. (oven does not work) They will cover the cost of the part but not the service, which could be up to $300. Few years ago I bought a side-by-side GE refrigerator from sears at Falls church, VA with an extended warranty. My warranty is still valid until 2010. Couple of weeks ago the refrigerator started having problems, and it stopped working.
