Two people in China have been given suspended death sentences for pushing a mentally ill man into a coal mine shaft and then posing as his family members to get compensation for his death, a court said Thursday. Many retailers (JCPenney, Herberger's, Kohl's) now price nearly everything on sale all of the time. It must be illegal to say that the item was "previously offered at", or "was", or all of the other terms they use to now offer the item at the "sale" price when it never was priced at the "original" price. Ordered a corner fireplace and damage was discovered upon unpacking, Cymax refuses to replace it as they say it was not annotated on the delivery form. My mother fell for the "Car and cash prize winner" bit hook line and sinker. She had enough sense to tell me, but only after seven wire transfers totaling over 6000US dollars. Rather than just preaching conservatorship, conservatorship, conservatorship... any ideas on how to simply block the calls from getting through? In the advertisement and description of the service it says "Unlimited* local and long distance ..." However in the fine print there is "fair usage policy", which is fine. But there is also following statement in the fine print of fair usage policy: "Vonage World Canada plan is subject at all times to a limit of 3000 minutes ..." He was very convincing and even though she knew from the start that this was a Scam, she was still interested enough that she wanted me to call to check it out.
