So, when I booked a hotel for stopping in on my return from holiday in China, I had no hesitation amonut ordering some Hong Kong dollars and Chinese yen. I received a postcard from Great Fun saying membership fees had gone up and 13.99 and would be charged to my credit card if I did not cancel membership. Say what?!!! I called the number given and told them I wanted to cancel. It appears, unbeknownst to me, my credit card was charged each month for service since January or before(my fault in not noticing) . I purchased a1/2 ct diamond pendant, original price at the time was 1000.00, got on sale with tax for 861.00 a couple of years ago. most days dsl is not available to me. when it finally does appear to be working it is for a very short lived amount of time. it works out to be available for my use to get on line or retrieve e mail far less often than it is not available. this has been going on for weeks. what gives and how are you planning to make financial reparation for all the lack of use of a non working dsl? don't even give me the option of having a service ticket or phone help. been there done that. read full review »

I suppose it was our fault for not checking the small print, but we missed a flight from Athens due to a (separate and independently booked) flight on a different carrier being canceled due to technical reasons. Stranded on a Greek island - not as nice as it sounds unfortunately! We were not covered (domestic flights not being considered public transport).The person on the phone was not sympathetic to our plight, merely stating, 'sorry sir you're not covered!'. My advice is to never purchase an AXA travel insurance policy from AXA or Essential Travel, not now or in the future. Their policy was not worth the paper it was printed on. Select Insurance are part of IGAS & White Horse Insurance Ireland LTD. They have a clause (19) on their insurance policy stating that if you have any alcohol whatsoever and you have an accident & need to claim whilst still having alcohol consumption in your body your claim is invalid, this was not highlighted to me when purchasing the policy. I was not informed that I was buying a travel insurance policy for a a 'tea-total' person, if so I would not have taken it with them, this happened in Jan 07 and still fighting the claim. read full review »

Adrian Flux Travel Insurance never passed on my details so when I called for assistance I had none. I had no calls back to me after 24hrs so decided I had to make my own arrangements. I don't have a credit card so drove my car home from Germany and caused £13, 000 of damages. Ombudsman has confirmed Flux are at fault and awarded me £200 for a clerical error. I received a postcard that Travel Exclusive was going to be in my area and was contacting people who wanted to have an offer made oon their timeshare. Then you have to pay $15 - $35 processing fee to register each and every certificate with Vacation Getaways in Dublin, CA.
