First the cruise before us lost power coming into shore that made us behind that's ok so they could fix the problem. Checked in to the hotel with a travel discount coupon for two nights. Next morning stopped by front desk. Told them of some issues with room and left for the beach for the day. Chennai - Alleppey Express runs between these two locations daily and full to its capacity almost everyday. Still the facilities provided are pathetic with age old compartments, stinking toilets, torn seats etc etc. I travelled by this train on 29th of September from Chennai central to Alwaye. I am really concerned about roundtrip airfares from Fresno California to Burbank California. I was traveling on government travel orders to Georgia in March of 2010 with another government employee. On 2/26/2010 my co-worker / co-traveler contacted our local Leisure Travel office to reserve two separate rooms in the same hotel for our trip. During the recent volcanic ash problems my Swiss International Airlines flights were cancelled. I was informed by their representative that if I kept all accommodation, food and transport receipts I would be refunded on my return to the UK. For the first time I used 1800HOTELS. Hilton in Wilmington NC had a bad phone number for contact and a bad credit card from them to pay for my stay. I phoned numerous times, being told that it was the hotels fault. The company would not let the hotel put through charge for my stay until the day I checked out. I had to cancel a trip that I booked through Globus and also purchased a Travel Protection Plan from Trip Mate through Globus' prodding. I cancelled the trip for medical reasons. When I submitted a claim for refund my claim was denied even though I met all the requirements that they asked on the claim forms they sent me. We booked a cruise with Viking Cruise Lines on the Danube. The river was in flood stage well before we left for our trip, they were aware of this and by their own admission, "while we did anticipate and plan for minor disruptions, there was no reason to expect anything of the magnitude you experienced.
