I booked a vacation through this company that turned into a nightmare (airline reservation changed 3 hours prior to flight, forced to pay extra cash to enter the country, suitcases removed from belt at airport, medicine and jewelry stolen from luggage, room filled with bugs, fumigation notice stolen out of my luggage, camcorder missing after TSA spot check, etc.). My wife and I were sold a Sealand Travel Club package under false pretenses. Three times we were told the hotel rates were not discounted off the "Rack Rate." Well they got another. Yes my wife and I went to Playa Del Carmen Mexico back in March of 08. We stayed at Sandos Playacar for a week. They reeled us in the day we got there. My husband was waiting for his flight to Seattle for medical treatment for a severe facial infection, when the airport manager walked up and told him he could not board the plane because he had a "bad odor". Because of this individual's inhumanity, my husband missed his flight, missed the appointments at the hospital, and had to suffer for two more days until we could make arrangements for a special medical transport. I recently booked a Korea tour through Apple Vacations & Conventions Sdn Bhd / Apple Holiday to Korea. The trip was scheduled for 22 December 2009. I'd like to review Hotel Carter in New York. I had a VERY limited budget for my trip to New York and didn't want to waste a lot of money on lodging while I was there and I wanted to be as centrally located as possible. On December 14, 2009, I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Auburn, after a long day of travel I have always enjoyed my stays at Holiday Inn Expresses. I recently returned from a trip to the Dominican Republic. I stayed at the Oasis Hamaca hotel. It was a horror. 1. Not given the room type requested but told that they would the next day 2. I called Milwaukie Inn 1 week prior to Thanksgiving and made a reservation with my credit card. Within an hour I cancelled the reservation due to a change of plans. FYI their policy states you can cancel up to 24 hours before arrival. After seeing the charge on my credit card I called and they refuse to credit my card because they said I never called to cancel. Priceline has very bad service. When it comes to name your own price, what you are not told is that they actually pick the times for you. Your story is all too familiar! We experienced the same sales scam. Your first step is to google PROFECO. They are a Mexican gov't office that handles all these timeshare scams. Then contact your nearest Mexican embassy and tell them how this hotel has left a bad taste of the country in your mouth and will never go back or recommend anyone to visit.
