I just purchased a new car and was sold the Lojack system. Also a Lojack Guarantee Plus 5000 Warrenty. It was sold to me as, if and when my car is stolen Lojack will pay me $5, 000.00. The misleading part from the dealership was that was all the information I got. They did not provide any documents or a copy of the contract. I purchased an extended warranty from the Warranty Group through CarMax, after a fair amount of pressuring. Shortly before my contract was about to expire, my transmission failed. My mechanic contacted the warranty people, who sent an inspector to look at my vehicle. I keep impeccable servce records, so they had no choice but to honor the claim. My story started about 2 years ago with this company. They called me at work to tell me that I needed to pay around $700 in couple of hours to stop from being arrested. I was on 3rd avenue, between 33rd and 34th street, today, May 5th, 2010 at about 3:35, waiting for the light. A bus was double parked on the right, waiting for another bus to pull away. We went to Affordable Denistry @ 6076 Ockeechobee Blvd this morning. It started out with a customer who complained she come back 10 times because of poor workmanship and quality of the dentures she had recieved. I am a current employee of lowes. I have extensive major appliance sales experience with various companies in commission based positions as like my current position. But what I have found out recently really disturbed me and may even be illegal. Competitors like SEARS pay their associates commission no matter what the selling price is, a flat 2-3% commission. I fell behind on my mortgage with Aurora Loan Services and then was offered a temporary modification plan for 6 months. After making payments on this modification for 3 months, Aurora Loans went behind my back and in the meantime sold my house without ever notifying me and gave me 3 days to move out. I had always worked on my own car until I could not do my front brakes my self due to the special design. The brake rotors will not come off normally for resurfacing in order to fix steering wheel shimmy. They must be pressed off and on and the bearing is damaged and must be replaced. I ordered 3 arrangements for mother's day, my mother, mother in law and grandmother in advance and was given the choice of deliver date for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. I selected the Saturday by noon so they would be fresh for Mother's day. Only 1 was delivered and it was not the quality I ordered the other two were never delivered. I've ordered delivery from a waitress named Anna at the restaurant. She made me feel so intimidated and I would never order from that restaurant ever again. Marlboro still uses Julian date code system on their cigarette packs. The code printed on bottom of pack should have a letter, then a 3 digit Julian date, followed by a letter, then a number which is the last number of the year manufactured. This should be "0" for cigarettes produced in 2010. If it is "9" you are buying cigarettes from last year, likely stale unless vacuum sealed in freezer storage, which is unlikely. Don't listen to a thing they say about your Loan, Make sure it is writing. When you tell the finance arm of this cold and disconcerted builders to lock your rate make sure they DO IT! The mounting of the eyelets for these must have been manufactured incorrectly. The part of each metal eyelet that faces inward towards the center tapers into a very narrow gap with sharp metal edges. This both prevents pulling the laces tighter, since they get pinched, and quickly wears out the laces due to the razor-sharp edges. My laces were stripped of the outer covers within a month. My wife has a pair of Nevados with a different type of eyelet that works fine, since the eyelet seems to be mounted the opposite way, with the wide and smooth part facing inward. read full review »
