Tech Lasers
ItsNickBarry August 10, 2009
I submitted a warranty claim near the end of the warranty period (but still within it) and only received a follow up email saying that I would be helped soon. When it became clear that no one had any intention of helping me, I submitted another claim. So far I have done this 4 times and now I receive no response at all. The lasers Tech Lasers sells are 10 times the price of those found on eBay, but last only twice as long. read full review »

Scam, scam, scam! Heard about the company on local radio station promoting "free money" as neverpayitback.com. (I know, nothing is free) Went to website, but when they asked for CC info, I exited before accepting. They called me a few days later and explained that they would sent me a "packet", (turned out to be a CD), and that they would need $1.98 for S&H. They also said I would be registered to use their website free for 30 days, then be charged almost $70/month. I said I was absolutely not interested, but they convinced... read full review »

Scam, scam, scam! Company promotes "free money." Yes, I know, nothing's free. Went online to look at it, but when they asked for CC info, I exited. They called and said they needed $1.98 for shipping of info packet and free trial of their website, which would cost me close to $70/month at the end of a 30 day trial. I said I was definitely not interested in website, but would pay the $1.98. International Language Programs
notnotapples August 9, 2009
I went with International Language Programs (ILP) to Kiev, Ukraine in the spring of 2008. I had some good experiences, saw lots of cool stuff, learned a lot, and made lifelong friends. Their teaching method was excellent, and the kids we worked with were fun and learned a lot. However, I found several aspects of International Language Programs to be worrisome and unsatisfactory. Although the kids learned a lot, they all came from wealthy families. The private schools we taught in made a lot of money off our volunteer work, and ILP provided no... read full review »

Sceptre TV
weirdcatlady August 9, 2009
I ordered a Sceptre Television. From the day I got it there was a tiny red dot in the center of the screen. I was told by customer service that I could not return the TV because according to industry standards, there had to be 3 dots in a cluster or at least 8 dots all over the screen. So, apparently, I paid $600 for a faulty TV with a dot in the middle. So a month goes by and the 1 dot turns into a little red line with yet another red dot next to it. So after I had to submit multiple pictures of the dots to their customer service department... read full review »

Question#2 - Why when these web sites are obviously scams - are they not immediately shut down or at least "tagged" as possible frauds.? It seems by now there must be technology to support an alarm system to its citizens!! The company damaged my filing cabinet and dining table. Even though I found the cheapest possible replacements at OfficeMax and WalMart, the company is too cheap to send $280 in compensation and instead keeps stonewalling. The filing cabinet seemed to be taken down stairs too roughly, and the bottoms and backs of several drawers were broken and my files were all over in the bottom (see photo).
