Recently we cancelled our trip to Romania due to the volcanic ash. As a consequence, we had to cancel our car rental with Thrifty Car Rental Romania/ Auto Rent SRL, as well. They charged our credit card three times the cancellation fee, and did not respond to our e-mails asking for an explanation.We contacted our bank and now they are disputing the amount. On the 19th April at 6:00pm my mother and i went to drop one of her colleuges of at home, it was raining terribly that night. We were on the corner of Soutpansberg Dr & C.R Swart in Pretoria. The robot was red and a Putco bus smashed in to the back of us. I fecently bought a part at Hobbie Auto Center, Oroville CA, which I the next day found I could not use. Traditionally, in the parts business there is toleration about accepting returns so long as they are in perfect condition. (Just as I in turn never thought of complaining that the part offered to me was in a torn open package). However, on returning the part I was confronted with a 35% re-stocking fee. Avis Kauai When I arrived in Kauai to pick my car, I was told that I must take a $ 3000 insurance at a cost of $11.99/day. I protested, said I did not want, said I had a Avis reservation confirmation without such insurance. I was told pay or no car! With no other alternative available I Paid. My light for air bag from my passenger turns off when theres an adult sitting down .. I believe that will happen when theres a child or a light weight sitting down. These people are completely unqualified to work on transmissions. They have attempted a repair on our transmission three times. This time they have had our car for two and a half weeks. They "can't figure out what's wrong"! I would just go get it and take to a dealer but this is "warranty" work form a previous repair and the dealer wants to put in a new transmission, $2400.00. Not only did my "Die Hard" battery die within a year and a half of purchase, but the service department side-stepped the warranty by claiming that battery was still good; they said the car had some kind of electrical problem that they were not equipped to troubleshoot. Of course, when I went to the car dealer, they showed me that the battery was not able to hold a charge.
