I took my Jeep Cherokee to Fletcher's Tire and Auto on 90th street in Scottsdale on for several issues including a check engine light and a "shaky" front end at higher driving speeds. I dont recall the gentleman that I spoke with that day but he contacted me after apparently looking at my vehicle and gave me a laundry list of repairs that were needed. Three times I attended the K-mart tyre and auto service station. First time ... I had a water leak and they did not fix a water leak but charged for it. When I returned the car they shortened the water system by blocking it off at one section and then the heating did not work. They still charged! Second time ... I had low power steering fluid...they made out it was a big problem...they charged alot and the fluid leaked out much more quickly. I test drove a vehicle and it had a tire sensor fault light on. I mentioned it to the employee and he told me that it was a reset issue when they changed the tires. He pushed the reset button and the light went off. I also mentioned about some rust found under the seats. He said it wasn't a problem and it would be taken care of. My husband and I noticed my truck on the lot of Carriage Traders (We had just traded it in the day before) We were curious to what they were asking for it. So we called and, Tim Cardinale the salesman, gave us nothing but lies. When we traded for a new vehicele we were completely honest on the history of the truck we traded in. I had been insured with AIG for several years and last year even recieved a discount. However, with renewal scheduled for mid-November this year, I recieved a statement which shows a nearly 50% rate increase. The only changes since last renewal is that my wife had a speeding ticket 01/07 and our son turned 15 (he is not licensed and will not be listed on the policy). I have been paying for 2 years on my 2006 Kia spectra. I bought it for @16.000- got a loan for 18, 000 and still owe 16, 000. Triad says in the first 2 years of the loan you're paying off the interest. At this rate it will never get paid off. I had taken my car in to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. When I arrived, my Ford Explorer was running just fine. When I left, it was immediately making noises and the check engine light was on. I drove a short distance away, and turned around to come and bring it back to them. While en route, the engine on my Explorer seized. They have no desire to pay so they simply drag things out as long as possible, forcing the customer to nag and push them to get things done(one requirement at a time over and over again). I purchased a complete chrome billet front end from Tejas for $1, 650 dollars. The machining tolerances of this front end was so poor, we could not remove the fork end caps and had to re-thread several threaded holes just to mount parts. We could not remove the top fork end cap to screw in the blind triple tree fork cap, so there was no way to assemble one of the legs. Then i wanted a sunroof so i went to the dealership and purchased an aftermarket sunroof. I had nothing but problems with 5 or 6 trips out to the dealership to get it taken care of. The attendant just grabbed the money and proceeded to chat with his pals; no thank you, no is there anything else I can help with, worst of all, notill slip. Upon my asking for the till slip at least, the man in dreadlocks(attendant: not that I mind dreadlocks) told me I should have asked for it; the till slip that is.
