In December, 2009, I had received a collection notice from this law firm for $766 for a credit card issued by a bank I had never heard of, nor had I ever owned that credit card. In calling their 800 number, I was transferred to a call center in India where the rep could barely speak English, and what little he did, was very rude. I recieved a notice saying my account had been transferred to Tribute Credit Card. This lawyer stated that they will work on my loan modification since July of 2009 and that it will take three months to happen. It has been almost 10 (ten) months and nothing has happened ever since. The sad part is I paid $3000 upfront and now the office is not taking calls, or the machine taking messages. They simply ran away. Beware their "bait and switch" tactics! I purchased a chair for $160 and paid $43 in shipping charges. A few days later I got an email informing me of an additional $85 shipping charge I had to accept to get my chair. That brought the cost of shipping to over $128--nearly as much as the chair! Nowhere in the description of the item or on my final invoice was there mention of an additional shipping fee. Either they made a mistake (and wanted me to pay for it) or this is a hidden fee! After months of waiting, I contacted my bank and NO paperwork had even been submitted by Scott requesting anything. I was never late and always paid more than the minimum. I told the landlord that there were leaks from roof and other plumbing problems in bathroom and in kitchen.
