This guy takes the "handy" out of "HandyMan". He works on a cost-plus with no regard to your budget. He will overspend on extravagant items, then charge you for them. Hello. I recently purchased a large bug tent from the Joseph Howe Superstore in Halifax Nova Scotia. After finding pieces missing I was forced to return to the Superstore on four separate occasions in an effort to retreive the missing parts. ALKCO sent me a new replacement lighting fixture (Slique T2 SQ213) to replace one that no longer functioned (balast was defective). On installation of the new fixture, my electrician received a severe shock, as the whole casing of the fixture was activated. Not only didn't the fixture work, but there was a dangerous defect that could have resulted in serious injury or death. I called for service on one of my applicance. I was told my information wasn ot in their system so I had to fax my receipts for proof of purchase. I did so. Then I was told it could take 3-5 business days to process the information someone will then get back to me to schedule a service call. when I purchased the warrantee I was told its worth it they have the best service. I painted a dump rental property of Daniel's in a weekend, really trying to help the guy out so the place could be rented out ASAP. The materials totaled $216 out of pocket. I had a sprinkler system installed last year and at the time of installation Rain 4 Sale hooked my timer up on the same circuit that runs my well pump. When the two were on at the same time the circuit was overloaded and the breaker would trip. This happened to me one morning while showering for work. Needless to say I was not pleased. A four year old York A/C has a major coil leak. The warranty states 10 year free labor and parts. Called the owner named Creg, said no longer works with York A/C and does not honor the warranty. I bought $65K in Pella windows and doors. the Pella service, from delivery to quality of finished product has been horrible. My Frigidaire Gallery Series stainless steel refrigerator door is rusting. I have not found anything that takes the rust off. I was told by Frigidaire that because the year warranty had expired there was nothing they could do except refer me to a repair man. From start to finish Elite Screens & President Russ Morgan has been a nightmare. They were to built their "specialty" - 3" insulated roof / screen patio. We called MGA in March of last year because the roof in our home was leaking. We had several bids and every company said the same thing, the roof was too warm and was causing ice dams. MGA's representative told us we needed ridge vents which would lower the temperature in the roof and resolve the problems. He offered us a two-year leak-proof guarantee.
