I purchased a 5 year warranty for a couch I purchased at the Roomstore. I called to file a claim for a stain on my couch. I did not know what the stain was and they denied my claim because I did not know where it came from. There is nothing in the warranty paperwork that says the claim has to be known. We purchased a 64, 000.00 home and 49, 000.00 property in June of 09.We didn't need building permits but had to have the septic system checked since we were hooking to an existing tank (we paid out of pocket for inspection) . The upper window latch is made of plastic and 18 of 26 plastic latches (13 windows total)in my home (built 1997 Olathe, KS) have cracks down the middle thru the screw holes. I was ripped off by John Moore. They charged $807 to replace a 15 ft PVC pipe. It was an emergency but afterwards I got 5-6 bids on the job andwas told it should not have cost more than $200.
