I just discovered this website a few days ago and wanted to warn others of a scam I fell for when I was 18. I got a phone call in my first apt. from a woman who worked at "Disney Dream Vacations" or something like that. She said for $250.00 per person I have a free week at any of their park hotels, free park tickets and food. I only had to pay for my flight down and back. I booked our honeymoon in Aruba and decided to stay in the tradewind section of the Mariott. When I arriving we explained that we were on our honeymoon and would like a quiet room. We were instead summerged between to families that had kids that woke up at 6am. This would have been fine if the walls were not paper thin and I couldn't hear everything that was going on as I lay in bed in my own room. Incident We have been on cruises before and choose the Carnival Imagination because of our 8 yr.old twins. Well first off the ship has poor customer service, wait staff is poor, they have only one deck they serve a buffet on and it is crowded. When you ask a staff member a question they don't know anything or cannot understand you. Asked several times for a comment card never received. I supposedly won 3 trips, whereas I had to pay only the administrative fees, which I paid last May, 2008, and I asked for reservations to Punta Cana in February, 2009. They never sent me any confirmation in writing and then I did not get to go on the trip because they said they never made the reservation! Now they say that I have to travel after April, 2009. Now I made arrangements for April 16th, and they still have NOT sent me anything confirming my trip! At that airport they acted very suspicious with us, sent us to the next building over to have a drink, and tried to get us to take a plane on a flight separate from our luggage. Once to our destination of Dangriga, I noticed that my smaller checked bag (looks like a carry-on) was completely rummaged through. I had $400 American dollars stolen as well as my brand new ipod. Lily from Hong Tai was the tour leader for our tour. She really lacks the knowledge in this area. Give us extremely poor service. If she does not know how to deal with customer matters, better tell us instead of giving us the wrong info. So we got scolded by the local tour guide because we take Lily's words for it. In another occasion, when I am ontime back to the meeting place, she talked very loudly and I was very humiliated because everyone thought I am late. I am appalled with AirAsia's service standards. It is absolutely atrocious. I was informed via email by AirAsia that a particular flight (Senai - Bali) has been cancelled and I immediately responded by enquiring the options open to me. There was no response to my email. Then I called them. Each time I was put on hold for eternity. I finally got through to them and requested for a flight reroute (SIN - Bali) on the same dates. The Villa Group and UVC are in the process of building 2 new resorts and you know what that means, they need more timeshare owners. Booked on Flight 366 from Seatac to IAH. Continental delayed flight 366 because of 'weather' reasons for over 4 hours. Staff in Seattle and in Houston did none of the following: Did not post delay on their flight status webpage, did not send trip alert, did not offer alternative day scheduling, provided selective meal vouchers and then either denied that they were issued or claimed to have 'run out'. When we arrived at the address of the place we were to check in and receive our keys - IT WAS BOARDED UP AND FOR SALE!!! I am very surprised that an Italian run cruise ship provided mostly mediocar food and wine, most of which I couldn't eat becasue it was so bland or fishy/salty. They published their food supply list at the end of the cruise and it was apparent that they do not pick up fresh food at port but instead use many thousands of pounds of frozen seafood and vegetables. I have been waiting for a refund from Best Price Cruses for over 4 months. Best Price Cruises is a travel agency located in Florida and also doing business as Vacation Superstore Network. I purchased a cruise on NCL through Best Price Cruises and requested a refund for a 3rd person in a cabin, which was fully refunded by NCL. Well the cleaning of the rooms werent very clean. Also we couldnt take coolers by the pool even though we had kids that drink juice and water. The front desk people couldnt help us . When we went to them and explain to them what the situation was. They did all of that in order for everyone to purchase from the bar . Even though we did purchase from the bar . Last year we were given ticket vouchers that were offered to us for taking a later flight. When we try to use them we are told that there are no flights available. They said that the tickets could be used to go anywhere. They kept my wife and I on the phone for over an hour pretending they were checking different dates. It was all a scam. We went to texas on delta airline April 3, 09 it rained .When arriving in Georgia the flight was delayed, 8 of us traveled toghter, had to seperate because they couldnt get us on the same flight, upon return we missed our flight, but no compasation on the tickets we had to get a hotel room for an extra night and purcash new tickets at full price.so we paid another 1, 048.00 for 6 tickets to return to Chicago after paying over 2.500 for 8, round trip tickets to get there.
