ABSA SHOCKING SERVICE This is my second complaint against ABSA and everytime I receive no service or replies to e-mails. My first complaint went to the ombudsman and took two months to solve. If I send an e-mail to ABSA I expect it to be answered within 24 hours. Your standard response to an e-mail is we will get back to you ASAP between your working hours 08h00 to 16h00. I took my Acer PD116 Projector into acer to replace the bulb on 10 March. Sounds like a straight forward job right? After Acer called the following day (12 March) to collect the projector, We got to acer and waiting 30 minutes we were told that the bulb was apparently the incorrect one and they requested an extra day to complete testing and was assured that they will courier the projector the following day to my business address and being a Friday this will arrive on the Monday (16 March). Standard has been sending me from pillar to post, I can't seem to get any form of help with my complain. I am unhappy with the service I received My account was closed without the bank notifying me. when i inquired i was told that no one knows the reason for closure and the responsible person. About two months ago I bought a computer from a large retail outlet. It recently developed software problems I took it back to the store concerned after placing it in a cardboard box that it came in so that it would not get damaged. I even wrote fragile on the box. I have had to put up with problems with Amazing Transport and Warehousing from the start. They told me their rates would be less than the average as they were not there on the day to give me a quote. They were not available. The rate I received once they had all my furniture was more than double the companies i called. I have approached Sakyno for a device I bought, FM modulator, I went to repairs to indicate that I presume a fuse has been missing in the device, they then took me to other similar products where there were no fuses as well. We purchase a Kelvinator Freezer KI26OUF from Witbank Hi-Fi Corporation on the 24/12/2008, the freezer started to over freeze, we phoned Witbank Branch several times regarding this problem, on the 11/3/2009 they said we must fax them the slip and they will send out people to fix it. i purchased a 74cm Telefunken TV from Hi Fi Corporation in Rustenburg on getting the TV home it did not work at all so we exchanged it the next day, the new TV worked well for two weeks and then started getting big blue and purple spots on the screen, we then sent it in for repairs, after 23 days of waiting we returned to the shop and was told that the 21 days is not calender days but working days, this is not stated as such on the HI-FI Corporation adverts and service terms and conditions. I entered into the Top up 75 with MTN in June 2007 and agreed upon stop order payment. Somewhere around June 2008 due to insufficient funds in my bank account my payment bounced. Have just received an advice from Nedbank informing me of a reduction in interest rates of 1% on a home loan. This was expected as the SA Resrve bank reduced their prime lending rate recently. However, when comparing the monthly administration charge of R39.90, mentioned therein, with the previous advice of 15.12.08, which was only R17.10, I am astounded to note that this is an increase of 233%. And that is after receiving a brochure from the bank recently stating "Great valusebanking, simplified" and "Pricing it right for you". My oven was bought by the builder it is 2 years old. I accidently bumped the oven door with a glass lid - the lid did not break, but the glass in the oven door shattered. I called Defy and was told by a technician the the glass shattered because it is safety glass. He refused to discuss the possibility that there may be a fault in the door since it is very unusual for an oven door to break that easily. He put the phone down when I challenged him. Needless to say, this put me in a very bad Financial predicament.
