My mother and I took a cruise with Royal Carribean Cruise Lines in May of 2006. When we first checked into our room, we found that the toilet did not work and for the first half day, we were unable to use the bathroom in our room. The 2nd port call was in the Grand Caymans, and due to choppy weather they would not let us dock. Other boats we found out later had taken off and taken their passengers to Jamaica for the day. These huge stores have much more space (too much in fact) but less choice in merchandise. Ordered a new lock set for my motorbike, chased 4 weeks later, when they still hadn't sent it to me or called me to pick up. They then said that they couldn't supply it and I'd have to bring my card back in for a refund. The dealership is 30+ miles away and I was unhappy about making an unnecessary trip. I asked them to send me a cheque instead. Two months on and 4 chase calls the cheque has not arrived. I am now working overseas and don't have the option to just drop by to get the matter sorted. Monday November 2nd, 09 at about 6 pm. I drove into the tire, oil change department to get a battery changed on my car. I had my car engine on while the store personnel checked the availability of the battery. After a few minutes, I was told to pick up the car in 15 minutes. I came back 15 mins later and was not told till 10 min after that the store did not have the battery, and "We can't get your car to started". That was not the worst part. We bought over $2500 worth of furniture in October 2008 from Ashley Furniture and there were two perks for buying. One was a $100 prepaid visa card and the other was $500 worth of gas. I had to file a claim with the better business bureau to get the visa card. We have yet to receive one cent in gas vouchers. I recently bought a 2006 Jeep Liberty from a used car dealership, I'm still paying on it, I've had it since Jan 2009. So far all 4 windows have stopped rolling up and down, they have fallen to the point where you have to take off the door frame to get the window to come up yourself. ALCC American Language Communication Center charged me $999.00 plus $95.00 (administration fee) on 10/30/2008 in order to proceed to get my Student Visa. According to their Refund Policy (available in their Website) they will return the Tuition 100% refundable if I return the complete I20 Certificate of Eligibility along with proof of denial. Please, allow 4 8 weeks to process the refund. I know times are tough folks for us small businesses but whatever you do, do not sign up to the 15 day free trial of potential tenders from these people. Even if you do and cancel the free trial within the allocated time period stated, you will be hit with an invoice and an ongoing barrage of threatening emails, phone calls demanding payment.
