We purchased at full price teak furniture carrying a Lifetime Warranty. Now that Scotts Company has decided to close and liquidate their Smith and Hawken Division they will no longer honor the advertised warranties. We have teak chairs that are rotten and broken. This company is a fraudulent company. I bought an F1 ticket in April 2008 & paid by bank transfer the sum of £319 for a Silverstone F1 ticket which i never received. All my calls & emails to them were mostly unanswered. They sent me a dodgy email with what looked like a scanned receipt for a refund to my bank account. The money was never received. I had 2 crowns done at Memorial Dentists. The first, I was having sensitivity and it was suggested I needed a root canal. The first root canal specialist I went to just wanted the money for the service but took x-ray of my tooth and told me that there was a gap between my tooth and the crown Memorial Dentist put on! The software package was opened by a salesman from a locked, hard, plastic box. The software was in a plastic container that was opened by the salesman, who told me to go to check out. I did not open or do anything with the software package given to me by the salesman. My credit card was charged immediately, but I have not received the tapes or even a shipping confirmation. In 2006 I purchase a Sharp Flat Screen tv for over $2, 000 plus a Repair Master service plan which provides in-home repairs. In June 2009 the set lost sound. They sold me an expensive warranty guaranteed to protect me and my furniture and to honor repairs for up to five years. WHen I called to report the repair, they sent me a 4 or 5 page application to fill out and got back to me 2 weeks later!! Then they said that too much time had passed since it was reported so they would not fix the piece. There are several online complaints that are just like mine. I went to make a purchase with my debit card and was told it was declined. I told the cashier that it had to be a mistake and told her to swipe it again. It was declined. So I gave the cashier some cash I found in my wallet and walked out the store embarrassed.
