Virgin makes a cheap phone, but you should at least get minimum basic usability for the price, which you don't get at all. The phone itself is always having technical problems, which makes it useless. The billing charges are also fraudulent. They claim to charge you only 13 cents a minute, but when you actually start using the phone and make outgoing calls, they ask you to top up or it tops up automatically if you have it set for that, and one 15 minute call could end up costing you 20 dollars for a top up instead of 15 minutes times 13... read full review »

My partner received a cold phone call from Excite Mobile (aka Telco in a Box) offering her a new phone and entry into a draw for a weekend hotel break. She is a bit naive in these matters and gave her details to the caller. The phone was received along with a 2 year contract with particularly expensive call rates. Shawn Gilbert is a web designer who has decided to replace all these boards removing our advertisements, and replace them with plastic cases, and offers ad space for $20+ per month. I recently lost $5600 to a Vancouver, Canada company called Peak Energy Distributors. We noticed a LDC monthly fee from OAN Services of 8.23 per mo. since Frontier bought out Verizon. We called and disputed these charges as we already had a LDC carrier outside of Verizon for years. These disputed charges totaled $49.38 which included Frontiers late fee . I have emailed Frontier four (4) times and no response. I still have not heard from either companies or received a credit from either of them since 10/27/2010. This slamming charge plus late fees now total $62.64! My daughter's school had a fundraiser about six months ago. One item that was ordered was for a magazine voucher. It got lost, so I purchased another one for this person. They say they sent it to his address. About six weeks later, I called and explained everything, they told me about an online code. Which I used that day, because at that time he had waited several months already for this magazine subscription. Everything's takin' care of until yesterday when I recieve the magazine in a package. On December 6, 2010, I placed an electric Sears range on layaway. We went and picked it up on December 20. We connected it and it kicked the breaker off, we checked the wiring, which was find. We bought a whole houseful of Mohawk engineered hardwood flooring from Lowe's. It is horrible. Color coming off the edges. Top layer is lifting in places. The boards don't reach edges of the walls or doors in places. We have dogs and they scratch it even though I trim and file their nails every monday. Heaven forbid you drop something or spill liquid. They are selling fake Uggs as real at retail prices. When confronted they said the best they could do was let me keep the boots for a 15% discount or send them back to China with tracking (over $30!) for a 70% refund. This site charged me for a $100 pair of Air Jordans, then informed me they didn't actually have them to sell, and asked me to choose different shoes form their inventory. When I said no, I just wanted a refund, they have been giving me several weeks of broken record replies refusing to refund my money and telling me I need to pick different shoes. The communications are in pigeon English, and never respond to my own insistence that this is not an option; that I should not even have been charged if they did not have the inventory. I had to change an expensive shirt that bled the color when washed. The store refused to give me a refund but gave me only a credit to buy another shirt. The second shirt also bled and now I had to exchange it for one white shirt in the hope that it will not bled but I will never buy again from Polo Ralph Lauren and recommend everybody never buy from that store. On December 21'st 2010 I contacted the company to have my billing date changed from the 1st of every month to the 21st of each month.
