I ordered the first book from John Lyons Library and the company cashed my check as soon as they received the check several months ago, but I still have not received my book from the company. I do not have a way to contact the company to issue a complaint, (no information, phone numbers on advertisement they sent). So beware when ordering books from John Lyons Library. One evening I had 2 teenagers with credentials come to my house asking for donations of $15 towards "The Good Shepard Nursing Home" for those needy people to be there and can't afford there stay. Chicago Tribune had some kind of assistance of a kind of match in donations and as a thank you (supposedly) the donator would receive a 3 month subscription. We paid $41 to see a performance of the Metropolitan opera performance which was 25 minutes late, the audio was not fixed until act 2 and there were 3 interruptions to the audio and visual performance. This was Sunday Feb 18 . We were advised by the theater to arrive early for seating, we did so arriving at 2:21, it was more than an hour to performance time. The entire experience was disappointing and we were then made late for a dinner engagement by 30 minutes. We went to Sukhadia's at Iselin on 16th February, 2008 at 720 PM and did not want to take the buffet Dinner which was priced at $11+. Instead we ordered food from the Menu. Both our kids (age 10 and 7) were hungry. The server (he was the only one there) went into the kitchen with our order and came back to say couple of items were not available. I had initially signed up with Dish network for dish service, I had ordered the dish installation through AllSat a dish network retailer. When I signed up with Dish network the only paper that I signed was a 18 contract agreement with Dish network which clearly stated the early termination policy. I won't be going back to Fridays again - the place is nice, but their business practices are very deceptive. They emailed a $5 off of 15 coupon with a link 'send this email to a friend and get 2,0087 goldpoints' (their frequent diner program). Turns out you have to send it to a friend, print a coupon, go to the restaurant and have a meal there before they give you the 2,008 points. That's very deceptive. On December 4th, 2007 I ordered Dean Martin Roast DVD set. On December 6th, $69.99 was withdrawn from my account to a "cyberbit.com". I wrote several times and they kept telling me a new date the DVDs would arrive. My post office told me the set was delivered to Naples, Florida, and they would resend. I am sick and tired of all of the repeated attempts by users of shawcable.net to access ports on my computer. I am on the internet every day. When I check my firewall log, there has been at least 50 attempts by computers with Shaw Cable IP addresses. Shaw needs to crack down on this. Ripped off by these guys. Paid $5,000 for a horse racing data program that did not work. I do not think any of these programs work now. It is horse racing and gambling. This experience was just bad from beginning to end. I am assistant organizer for a professional networking group, and we have dinner and brunch monthly at various venues in Denver. I have loved the Downtown Aquarium restaurant in the past because of its proximity to the giant tank, where you can gaze and daydream looking at all the cool fish, sharks, and yes even live scuba divers in the tank. When we went in to rent another movie I assumed that we would have a late fee, and they had charged us 14.99 for the movie, 3.99 for another week rental and 11.97 for ev charges (whatever that is). I have had many problems with Dish Network since signing up with them in January of 07. The Installation Tech had come out 3 times before the installation was complete (causing 3 missed days at work). This company sent an email that my order was shipped. I never received the order and contacted them. They apologized and said they would send another one out - that was two months ago.
