I entered into contract for sliding and windows on 11/06. In mid December started calling the salesman about renovation schedule and they did not return phone calls. We bought 10 windows and a sliding door from this company a few years ago. I am still trying to get them done right. OMG what a mess they left behind. They had 2 people removing all of these windows and installing them only two. They took a huge loud metal saw and cut our old windows out. Once they were installed they made a mess with the calking and left big gaps. Had them out here at least 4 times to fix the sliding door, it never has locked, ever the frame has broke, the replaced it, broke again. When I opened my refrigerator door, I smelled burning. I felt the top shelf of the refrig and noticed that it was very hot and all of the food was hot. Everything in the frig was warm and spoiled. I purchased a battery set for my water filter in Nov 08, and fitted it in March 09. My home was built 10 years ago and my builder recommended Weathershield windows. We purchased one of their higher quality wood clad line of windows with a special factory paint finish. The paint finish warranty is for 10 years and the seal 20. Our windows started rotting and leaking 4 years ago. I reported it to Weathershield and have gotten now where. They told me that the rot was due to a lack of maintenance. I purchased $35, 000 worth of product from them in 1993. One window failed within the warranty period and the others have been in the process of failing from day one. All of my windows/doors what are exposed to the elements are failing. I have repaired 2 windows that were rotted and now 5 more are letting water in. The stucco on our Fuller home has been falling off before the 1 year warranty expired. Fuller homes has tried to fix the issue 3 or more times but with minor patches that don't work. They refuse to fix it now since it is out of warranty. They basically performed minor patches to let the warranty expire & wont help us anymore. California Water Service Company took over Skyline Water about 3 months ago. I have lived here for over 20 years and in that time I have not experienced a single unplanned water shut down. In the 3 months California Water Service Company has been in charge I have experienced 3 unplanned, unnotified shut downs. We contracted Mr. Cruz to do a fence job for us. We paid a deposit of $1300.00 on Aug. 13, 2009 and the work was to be started on August 19. He did not show up to do the work. I purchased an LG refrigerator on Feb' 08 and started having repairs on it on 6/26/09. The freezer stopped working. I had a repair man come out and add gas and replace the filter. Then on 8/29/09 the freezer stopped working again. This time its the circuit board that needs to be replaced. I do not have an extended warranty. So this will cost me parts and labor over $300. I relocated to Pretoria in May. I had to pay a deposit to have my utilities activated. My utility bill increased on average by R200 per month. This month's bill arrived and it was a whopping R1500. Nearly double from the previous month. After many phone calls - which either gets cut of, or end up holding nearly 30 minutes, I was told that this was due to an increase in my deposit. How can you increase a deposit three months later? The point is, the deposit for service activation was paid upon commencement of the contract. It's a fixed amount. This is daylight robbery. My husband called early morning of the 1st of September and immediately the technician told him it would be 24 hours before we would receive service. The next day we did not receive service or a phone call. When my husband called to inquire about receiving service the next day late in the evening, he was told there was not ticket or information found on his request for service. Biancardi Construction abandoned our deck repair project when less than 1/2 was completed, owing us thousands of dollars for pre-paid work and materials. The job which the owner Chris Biancardi estimated would take 1 - 2 weeks dragged on for over 2 months with multiple excuses for non-completion. We purchased our new build property December 2006. The bathroom did not contain a shower however on discussions with the sales rep and workman on site we were advised that this could be fitted easily.
