We built a house, and hired a guy/contractor, Clint Dellinger of Dellinger Construction to do 90% of the labor work. We have a verbal agreement, and paid Clint with multiple checks (we have copies of all with our bank). We started construction last year and moved in on June 1st 2009. Among other oversights, they somehow forgot to pull two new electric lines (which we had contracted and paid for) into our kitchen before the walls were sealed back up and painted during a renovation. My suggestion to anyone considering doing business with Tri-State Building Specialties Inc. or considering a Tri-State Sunroom is to fully review the warranties prior to purchasing. Apparently, Tri-State expects that "any" glass panel, permanent or otherwise needs to be removed by the homeowner and brought to Tri-state's center for repair. This man was hired in 2009 for a simple roof replacement. During the first rain, the house leaked in several locations and flooded in one location. He denied any liability, refused to pay for damage and was not competent to fix the leak even after several attempts. He has anger issues in his business affairs. You dont always get what you pay for. I paid $6800 for entry doors and a storm door. First, the wrong trim was ordered, a month after the job was started it came in and was applied. WHen I called, the guy said "mistakes happen". The door knobs are cheap and move around when turned, the paint scratched anound them. I was told that they would install a new door bell if I got one. I did, they broke it, I got a new one, it works but is on crooked. A molding was broken when installing the trim and was replaced by an unfinished piece of wood, for me to paint. The lady called Dr Raj is selfish and has not given many things which were agreed. example exaust fan, wooden door frames for bedrooms, panic switch etc etc. In addition to this she as forcefully taken 10000 Rs for gas connection (which was already agreed to give) + extra maintaince cost. I had received gas cylinder one month back. On 12th of this month when our previous cylinder finished, I attached filled one but it was not working so I called Darshan Gas & requested to send mechanic as I thought it may be gas stove problem. Please beware!!! This is the worst company you can ever do business with. They are rude and very unethical. They did not get the permits like they promised. Currently we are having to deal with issues with our county because the fence did not pass inspection. They also did not follow the permit and now we have to spend close to $3000 to have another company come and fix it. We have reported them to BBB. Once you sign the contract and pay them deposit, they will start ignoring you and not returning calls. Lousy Jobs and no after sale services: We were so happy to purchase a new home from Century Grove Home a year ago. Before closing and after the PDI done, some jobs were still left behind. I bought luminous inverter and battery with 30 months of warranty on 21st July 2008. There was some problem with batter even before 12 months. They have been informed that my sq footage is only 361 sq ft and they will only accept The Commons stated footage as 455 sq ft so this means that each and every month every one of us studio apt tenanats are living in a unit of only 361 sq ft but being over charged on water sewer and trash becasue they are billing us on 455 sq ft. Since the installation of this so called smartmeter, my electricity bill has more than doubled. I have spoken to other home owners who complained about the same problem. I have not purchased any new appliances or changed anything in my home to create this high of a bill increase. In fact, we have change our thermostat to 84 degrees in 104 degree weather.
