Oredered Goods and quoted 2/3 days delivery. They took payment from credit card that day (this is illegal) I called them after 5 days to enquire where my order was. I was told that dispatch would call me the following day and delivery would be 5-6 days. I said I would cancel, but was told I had to put it in writing. I immediatley cancelled by email at 8.45am. If anyone is think to install Bamboo flooring please do NOT install: GOODFELLOW STRAND BAMBOO sold by Home Depot and Rona it literally is about as durable as a Bamboo skewer. I am discovering many odd things going on with this company gefflooring. First of all they are selling maple flooring and it's really a chinese birch flooring at costco.ca. I don't know why costco would lie to it's customers regarding the wood grade, I find it utterly disgusting. Hello, I know this is a complaint board but I just wanted to say what an amazing experience I had with a Technician named Derrick and the company EAC. I never thought about getting my air ducts cleaned and after doing research I found that even though there are people on both sides of the fence about the benefits, I felt that I could benefit from the service. This company replaced 12 connecting roofs. When the job was complete the yard was full of roofing nails. The company had to be called twice to pick up all the debris that was left in the grass. They also had and issue with a unit owner about a new leak that was comming into a pipe that was on the roof causing water to leak into a brand new furnace. I just had my tub refinished, the area where the former shower door rail was installed was not buffed out properly/ repaired and I can still see the track lines and when I put my ( clean) hand on it 2 days later to take of the paper, it left a dull spot that cannot be wiped off with any of their recommended products. The others are SPOT ON about their dishonesty. they will charge you up the rear for repairs.I just filed a complaint detailign what I considered unfair selling practices, requesting full paymnet before the job was over when they only had to get 1/3, per homeowners contractor law. Highly suggest avoiding them. I felt better after contacting the BBB, and am seeking a partial refund for services. The man that showed up to fix, or rather JIMMY RIG, our water heater that we got "red tagged" by our gas company the night before, left his toddler son in his van the whole time he did his work. We've had heat advisories this summer! The man was supposed to fix three different things and didn't fix any of them. Instead he put what looked like tin foil around where gas *might* leak out of. I paid a deposit for 2 jobs to the Garage Door Company in June, R 4 100 for one job and R 6400 for another. This was for A, the installation of an automated garage door and B for the automation of a steel gate. After weeks and weeks if promises by the contractor Mr. Dion Thom that he will come "tomorrow" he send a "subcontractor" out last saturday that did a very poor installation and its not complete. Purchased a reclining couch from this business. Asked if it was a lazy boy & if there was anything wrong with it other then that some of the fabric was picked. Was told no other then that it is in good working condition & yes it was a wall hugger. Had to pick item up later that evening. Got it home, sat on it & the left side of the couch immediately broke down. The one side had been shoddily patched & the other side has stress cracks & will need replaced also. I was also told (along with a few other sales employees) that at any point in time the funds in this black book could be requested and withdrawn. I purchased a Samsumg SMH9207ST microwave 13 months ago for $350 from Lowe's. It was the model that Lowe's recommended. It now has decided to break, and apparently, they want $269 to repair it. The quality of the microwave is very poor and I do not recommend Samsumg to anyone. One of the main features of the unit was that it was supposed to be an excellent venthood - that was a lie. I previously rented a house in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles and the owner refused to fix things and abide by the building code. I was electricuted twice and sustained injuries and 2 other people I know were electricuted as well. The person that owned the house owned 80 other properties in CA and the house has since been sold therefore the estate would have to be sued. The new owner is having to replace all the electrical and plumbing to bring it up to code otherwise the city said no one can live in the house. Had this contractor put in a stamped concrete patio. After concrete was poured they then sealed it, the owner sent one of his men to do some work on our patio, this worker drug a piece of equipment off of the edge and broke a big piece off of the stamped concrete. We contacted owner after it happened in early fall, he said he would fix it the following spring because he had to come back for our final seal at that time anyway. Spring came and went. After numerous unanswered calls I decided to file a complaint and make sure no other consumer would be ripped off by this company.
