We recently had some wind damage to our mobile home. The wind took off the skirting from the bottom of the mobile home. It only took off half the stuff. We filed a claim, the adjuster came out and told us the quote we sumitted was to high and was to replace all of the skirting with new. Farm Bureau will only cover what was taken down. Instead of replaceing all the skirting with new we have to put up new on half the home and keep the old on the other half. How stupid does that look. Its ugly. What insurance company would do that. I have been in my home for 9 years. I have recently contacted MI Windows and Doors about the seals on their windows. They are stating that the windows are covered under the warranty and that they will replace them. However, I have to measure, pay for the shipping, and install or have them installed myself. Keeping in mind that any error in measuring would be at my expense. Also, when I asked why I would have to pay for shipping they stated that the warranty just changed as of 1/1/10. I purchased $16, 000 worth of Electralux appliances when I did my kitchen renovation in 1/11. One of the appliances is defective in design. M/s Ansal API charges 20 % interest in case of any default in the payments as demanded and paid after due dates but on the contrary there is no Clause for payment of any money in case of the defaults on their part . On April 5, 2011, my husband and I signed a contract with Sears to have our house sided. We were told the job would start immediately and end within a month. It took one month before anyone showed up to start the job. When the crew arrived, they brought the wrong color siding. It took one month for Sears to rectify this, so we had nothing but green insullation board on our house the whole time. Our outside lighting was removed, so were (and still are) in the dark too. Poor quality units and workmanship, the 'finished' bedrooms were left on completion covered in sawdust, pencil marks, ill fitting wardrobe doors and fronts and three holes in the wall. These are expensive Bespoke Bedrooms, which are of poor quality and not worth the money. We purchased a microwave oven from Bray & Scarff's Sterling, VA store. The microwave failed to operate 2 months after the purchase. We called Bray & Scarff repair on 22 May and a technician came to diagnose the problem on 26 May and ordered a new part. We bought Real Kill Indoor Fogger for Insects, with six cans in the box for $9 at Home Depot. Closed up the house. Placed 4 cans in the basement, and two cans upstairs. Since the Installation of my "SMART METER" in January, My utility bill has went through the roof. Sometimes double, sometimes triple. This month was 5 times more than last year.
