GE Rebate Scam Even though all the information was submitted with a legible copy of the receipt they say it is invalid because they couldn't read a very legible copy. Even though my e-mail and home address were provided no contact was made by GE. GE Profile rebate was advertized as $500 which suddenly became $300. After a long phone call I got to a customer service rep who told me I would get a check in 12 weeks. This is after 15 telephone prompts and a long message telling me to resubmit the rebate to a Florida address. EXTREMELY poor customer service! Is this against the law? read full review »

Repair man was on time. He took approximately 1.5 hours to locate a "loose connection" to the compressor of the ice maker and once he tightened the wires, the ice maker worked fine. I was told that a service call would be $65 and the fix required NO PARTS at all. The unit is under 5 years old. I was expecting a bill for a little over $100, but they hit me with $221. I purchased a bathroom vanity and mirror/cabinet which mounts above the vanity. All the screws holding the door hinges on were stripped when I received it. No instructions were included either. I called and emailed numerous times. Even though the units had a one year warranty, I was told that since I didn't report the problem within 3 days of receiving the units I had no claim.
