Purchased the Rain Bird Model ISM-9RS Automatic Sprinkler timer as a replacement unit. We have had this unit approximately 1 month and have yet been able to make it function properly. On 1/11/08 I noticed an electrical odor and my Jenn Air refrigerator was warm even though it had power. My husband called Gunn Appliance Service from from the Yellow Pages and explained the problem. They said they could be there between 12-2pm and it would be $60 for a service call. this seemed fair and we agreed.

I have bought the Sears Kenmore HE3 Elite Electric Dryer 5 years ago. Door handle keeps breaking off and I keep replacing it. Sometime it breaks within days. It is a faulty design. I made the mistake of purchasing a Samsung Inverter Air Coditioner Model SH12BWHA in August. It worked briefly. When we contacted the service agent he diagnosed the problem as lying with the inverter. Replacement parts were ordered and after 4 weeks the wrong part was sent from Sydney. Three weeks later the right part arrived and was installed by the service agent. The air con worked for three whole days!! and then broke down again. This is a complaint against the General Electric Company for refusing to honor their stated warranty on a dishwasher installed in September 2007. Briefly, the new General Electric dishwasher we purchased has a stainless steel tub. Shortly (i.e. 2 weeks) after installation a number of small, pinhead-sized pits in the surface of the stainless tub were noticed due to rust rings forming around them. They send 2 emails one for smart savings, with one id#, and another privacy matters123 with another id@ when you try to cancel they ignore you and wont except my input 3 to discuss the emails i received, when i press 5 for canceling their phone service goes off. I have tried about 8 or more times and the same thing happens, and i sent an email which they totally ignored yet they send me emails thanking me for taking their service and am billing my credit card for something i did not authorize. I would like to express my outrage at the monopoly power which Enbridge Electric is using to fleece electricity customers, and because competition is prohibited we cannot switch to a different provider. This monopoly is not in the interests of consumers and this should not be allowed to continue. In the US residents of condos and apartment buildings are allowed to have a choice as to their electricity provider and we should be allowed to have competition as well.

We're pissed and ripped off. Nov 2006 we purchased a Kenmore washer for <$425 ($500.99 w tax & delivery). It is in our vacation home WHICH IS USED ONLY A FEW TIMES A YEAR. It has been used less than 75 times and the timing switch broke. The Sears Repair Service in Tampa tried to sell us a warranty for $214.99 when we called for service. That is 50% of the cost of the machine. The machine was only 2 mos out of warranty. Fedders sells air conditioners at Walmart and Sam's Clubs across the nation. The problem is it takes 6-9 months minimum to have one serviced and longer than that to get any satisfaction out of the company. This house was built in 2004 and had a tile counter top constructed. I purchased this house in 2006 from Richard Suttle (contractor) and shortly the grout started cracking and coming out. The tile is loose all over the counter top. I contacted Richard Suttle and he contacted Rease Dunn (the tile layer) but this Rease Dunn will not contact us about this problem. He put the tile directly on plywood and appears not to have used waterproof glue as the tile shifts cracking the grout. We do have to have the tile removed and replaced. Is there anything we can do? We bought a top of the line Stearns & Foster Mattress with the expectation that it would last at least 10 years or more. After only 2 years, the sagging in the mattress makes it almost unbearable to sleep on. Both of us wake up stiff, sore and feeling like we got no sleep.
