Price gouged for replacement of roof for hail damage from storms in Oklahoma City on 05/10/2010. Over charged by more than $7, 000! Insurance agent indicated that their bill was price gouging. Two months ago I called AHS American Home Services to have an Electrician from IDEAL SERVICES come to check a problem we were having with a short between the Ceiling fans and the electrical outlet our T.V. was plugged into. This plan is completely bogus! I purchased a 3-year plan for an office chair that stated "About the only thing MaxAssurance doesn't protect against are failures caused by abuse or misuse of the covered product." I hired Todd Engerman to rip out my leaking shower and install a new shower pan and then tile it. He talked like he knew what he was doing and seemed like a clean cut guy. I gave him the job. His bid was lower and competitive, but not too low as to cause any hesitation. I met with him at Home Depot in North Seattle. My wife and I purchased a new mattress. The cost was over $3000.00. The salesman explained they had free financing, 3 years same as cash. (O.K.) I purchased a Stanley Pressure Washer Model #1800S on April 20, 2010 for the amount of $247.49. The store was to contact me when the washer came in as they did not have it in the store. We contracted with this contractor to stain our deck. We paid approximately $700.00 for the service. The product he used did not soak in. As a result, approximately 50% of our deck is untreated. Joe admitted the work was unsatisfactory and promised to re-seal the deck. To date he has not done so and will not return my or my wife's phone calls. We both have made multiple phone calls. This complaint pertains to dealings with Direct Energy and their contract renewal process. I was surprised when I received a higher than normal natural gas bill from Enbridge recently. I purchased a sofaset, two beds, two mattresses, a dining table - two beds were sent on the 2nd which was the date the deliveries were supposed to be made. No mattress was delivered and after multiple phone calls a makeshift mattress of a lower model was delivered that evening. ( I was informed after all payments were made that one mattress is out of stock). Since then - I am yet to receive the original mattress, the other mattress in the original order and the sofaset. Joel gave us the estimate, said we would not see any nail holes or wood putty, and told us he warranties his installation for a year. Was scheduled to have a carport delivered on Friday 7-30-10 so I took a vacation day for that day and they called Thursday night to say they would have to reschedule for Saturday. Tables they clean up before delivery, furniture they vacuum, before delivery, but I have found old stains in the cushions of my couch, and covered up scratches on my tables.
