Add the url: www.AvalonTronix.com to this company's deceptive stores. I purchased a GPS advertised as NEW and could not register it because it was actually refurbished. They are refusing to refund my money and threatening to turn me over to a collection agency if I do cancel the charge on my credit card. I got an email two days later from someone at the company stating they no longer had it in stock and could either ship me something else or cancel the order. This was my second order from Autobarn, the first being a battery in August of this year. Since that transaction worked well, and I needed an item that my normal supplier Rock Auto did not carry, I thought I would try this merchant again for part of the order since they offered free shipping due to the amount of money I was spending. Ordering was like any other on-line process to me. The products, Windows XP home software and a dvd/cd rom, were shipped quickly and arrived on time and they both work. Ordered tape deck from this fraudulent company and paid for with check made out and mailed to Chris Bradley. Merchandise never received, no responses to multiple emails or phone calls (voice mail only, never get to talk to anyone). Called bank to stop payment on check, already cleared. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MERCHANT!!! I still have not heard from this company since placing my order 11/22/08. I placed an order for different items from another online merchant the same day and received the items by 11/25/08. I emailed AVD on 11/25/08 to check the status of my order - no response. I called them on 11/25/08 and got voicemail and I left them a detailed message asking for status - no response. On 11/26/08 I emailed and called and left another message cancelling the order - no response. These items were birthday presents for my daughter and caused me to not have the items in time. This company must have the worst customer service on this planet. It takes almost an hour every time you call them and if you say anything they don't like, they will hang up on you. They have a blacklist of customers they don't want to talk to so when you call them, after you sit on the phone for almost an hour, when your time comes up, it automatically hangs up on you. To be honest, I'm kind of losing faith in Sun Microsystems. Google, the biggest name online, has a browser out for three or four months and Java doesn't support it. To get technical or specific or whatever, I'm talking about the Se6 U10 plug-in. This was the first time that I have dealt with atbatt and I feel it will be the very last time if they continue to package "HAZMAT" material as they did for me. I purchased two small 12volt Lead Acid batteries and I am VERY dissatisfied at their packaging method. This company sent me a memory card that was not the correct kind to work in my phone (came in same box same order). When I reported it to them they said send the card back (at my expense)and that they would send the correct card. I totally agree with the dissatisfied customers below. I placed an order in Nov. (@$99 with $5.95 shipping) and checked ship as complete. Four weeks went by and no order. Arcadian Lighting has been very nice and their price was the best. Their follow-up has been excellent. Unfortunately, fixture shipped direct from manufacturer and that's another story. Received two, one terabyte DVR expanders without a hitch. Seems like a quality product and is working fine, so far. They are attractive; mostly plastic but looks like textured aluminum and they are silver colored, NOT the pinkish hue that they appear to be on the internet. I ordered a snap disc furnance switch on Oct. 16 (card was billed even though item didn't ship) with standard shipping (2-10 business days). I am of the opinion that Cabela's is using unauthorized means to collect personal, private identifying information. Their policy is disturbing, questionable, and suspicious. If you read the fine print of their return policy, the "100% gaurantee" is apparently a half-truth. In order to complete a return or exchange the buyer must "present a valid photo ID that will be recorded and retained in a database to be used only for authorizing returns." Pack and Ride, Inc. contracts for moving trailers to be dropped and left so customers can fill the trailers and schedule pick up and delivery to the move destination. On the day of my scheduled trailer drop I was notified by Pack and Ride that their contract trailer provider would not deliver to my origin for drop off.
